"I don’t want to," she refused, crisply and decisively.

"Why? Didn’t Susu just say she liked drawing?" Old Guo asked.

"Just because I like drawing, why should I become a painter? I also like eating, but that doesn’t mean I want to be a chef!" Susu answered.

Uh...

That actually seems quite reasonable...

After thinking for a bit, Old Guo changed the subject, "Does Susu want to live in the Capital City then?"

"I don’t want to," she refused again, just as decisively, plainly, and without hesitation.

"Why not? The Capital City is fun, it’s very bustling, and it has many enjoyable places that Huacheng doesn’t have, and even more delicious food," Old Guo described to Susu.

"I’ll go when I’m older. Little kids should stay at home and not wander too far from it," Susu replied.

Qin Xingzhi smiled from ear to ear, holding Susu in his arms and planting two kisses on her face proudly.

"Big brother?" Susu looked confusedly at her older brother.

"It’s nothing, it’s nothing. Big brother is happy!" Qin Xingzhi chuckled happily, as though he had received some kind of treasure.

Old Guo was not giving up. If Susu wouldn’t go to the Capital City, he couldn’t return there with peace of mind!

So, he turned to the two elders of the Qin family and said, "Mr. Qin, Madam Qin, actually, I really do sincerely want to take Susu on as my apprentice. If Susu is willing, she could come with me to the Capital City, and I guarantee I can provide her with the top resources in the field of art."

"We appreciate your kindness, Old Guo, but my daughter is lively and active, not the type to become a painter. I’m afraid she would disappoint your good intentions," Grandfather Qin refused with a smile.

Now Old Guo was completely out of options; with the Qin family united in their disagreement, he had no hope left.

His plans for taking on an apprentice were dashed, so he needed to think of another approach.

After the conversation with Old Guo ended, Susu felt that it had nothing to do with her anymore, so she ran upstairs to Qin Yuze’s study to grab someone.

In Susu’s eyes, Old Guo was just a very ordinary uncle. Once she had said what needed to be said, she could leave.

Upon entering the room, Susu saw Qin Yuze playing a game.

"Little nephew, you’re not behaving again."

Standing in front of the computer desk, Susu put her hands on her hips and her little face looked fierce.

"My dear aunt, I’ve changed now, I don’t play games at night anymore, just log on during the weekends to open some boxes. If you won’t even let me play this, I’m really pitiable!"

Since nobody else was there, Qin Yuze called out to her using the term "aunt."

Because he knew that whenever he used this term, Susu would be happy, and when she was happy, she wouldn’t fuss over things with him.

"Really just for a little while?" Susu asked.

"Of course! Don’t believe me, come and see!"

Qin Yuze pulled Susu over to him, lifted her up, and had her sit on his thigh to watch the computer screen.

The complicated game interface showed the online duration in the upper right corner.

It currently displayed forty-eight minutes.

"You see, I’ve only been online for forty-eight minutes, I’ve played for just a short time."

Even though he knew that Susu wasn’t very familiar with numbers, Qin Yuze hadn’t lied to her.

"Oh," Susu nodded.

"Right, I’m about to open some boxes. You’re lucky, right? Let me borrow some of that luck; you help me open these boxes," Qin Yuze suggested, having Susu hold the mouse and click to open a few unopened boxes.

Susu didn’t know what that was; she just clicked a few times as Qin Yuze had instructed.

Then a full screen of golden light filled the monitor, the entire screen lit up.

Oops! Did she break it?

She hadn’t pressed that hard!

Susu turned her head, looking at Qin Yuze with an awkward smile.

Qin Yuze, however, had his mouth open wide, looking shocked.

It’s over; she must have scared her little nephew.
