The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!
Chapter 164 - 43: Changing Circumstances (Second Update)_2

Chapter 164: Chapter 43: Changing Circumstances (Second Update)_2

Ever since the last failed pursuit of that little Lich named "Gray," Bruto seemed to be disappointed in them and no longer issued new tasks. Hence, they had to stay put. After all, they didn’t even know what to do if they moved around.

Within the imitation human city, various facilities existed, yet all had come to a halt. Rats ran around unchecked. The Skeleton Blacksmith stood still, holding an iron hammer. The half-forged Longsword in his hand was already covered with spider webs. But he didn’t care either. After all, the Undead Castle already had heaps of military supplies, more than they could ever use. If he forged more, he’d still have to worry about where to store them. Might as well just stay put...

Everything was quiet.

*Yes, the undead were indeed extravagant, recklessly squandering their infinite lifespan. After all, who cared?*

Within the entire city constructed by the Lich, only one place had activity: the core Great Castle.

It was a magnificent castle, completely different from human castles. It was several times larger than the castle in Bigrey Salty Fish Port. The top connected to the underground space’s dome, various towers and buildings were constructed haphazardly, without any order. Some places even had patches, seemingly ready to collapse at any moment. Obviously, the builders didn’t have any design plans. From afar, it looked like a naturally formed giant stone pillar.

At this moment, Bruto was inside the castle with his crony Simon, researching a "big deal."

The two Liches stood left and right. Don’t ask which one was Bruto, Liches all looked the same, who knew which was Bruto?

The Lich on the left took out something resembling a seed, emitting a green glow and a chilly aura, from a small jar, then placed it in the middle of a small pot filled with dirt, pressing it deep with his finger bones. Then, he took out a bottle that looked like blue crystal and dripped two drops of liquid onto the spot where the "seed" was planted.

"Alright, now we wait. Soon, you’ll witness a lifelong unforgettable scene. I only have two of these seeds; because of our special relationship, I brought one over to show you. Bruto, this is proof of our friendship!"

"Oh, really? That’s an honor."

Alright, the one on the left was Simon, and the one on the right was our former underground leader Bruto. At this moment, Bruto’s eye sockets were filled with question marks.

"Come, let’s head over there." Pulling Bruto, Simon moved to the corner of the lab. The two Great Liches squatted in the corner, chatting and waiting.

"Simon, did you go to the last Judgement Council meeting?"

"No, who has the time to bother with that?"

"Do you know what was discussed?"

"No idea. If you’re so curious, why didn’t you go yourself?"

"I don’t want to see Lucy, that bitch. She humiliates me every time she sees me."

Simon laughed loudly. Noticing Bruto’s intense gaze, his soul flames burning in his eye sockets, he hurriedly shut his mouth.

"Sorry, that’s truly a sad thing. I just remembered. Did you catch that little guy who stole your ring earlier?"

"No, he probably ran to the surface world. I’ll chop him to pieces eventually. If he hadn’t stolen my ring, how could I have lost to Lucy, that bitch?" Bruto stretched out a hand adorned with five bone rings identical to Gray’s, gritting his teeth, saying, "Missing one ring reduces the power of my Holy Light Technique by a fifth. Otherwise, Lucy would have been blasted back to the soul box. Now, according to the agreement, I must wait ninety-five years, twenty-one days, and three hours before challenging her again."

"Aren’t you wearing all five?"

"I’ve made ten backups just in case."

"Oh, that’s a good idea. Speaking of, that little Lich was really discerning, only stealing the ’Holy Light’ ring."

"Fought any battles recently? Brawling with Heaven or Hell also works, count me in. Lately, I’ve been bored. I’ve been gloomy for a while now, wanting to move around."

"No plans for now, if there’s a ruckus, I’ll call you. Hey! It’s starting!"

With Simon’s scream, Bruto quickly turned his face toward the pot.

Right before their eyes, the pot filled with dirt started moving, magic power began to converge! A small silver-white "horn" emerged from the pot and began growing rapidly!

Even Simon became excited, and so did Bruto, the two Liches bit their teeth in tension!

Then, the craziness happened. The small horn grew larger, directly crushing the pot and collapsing the table! But it kept growing! Madly expanding!

"See that—! This is the ’Flower of Truth’ from the Northern Territory!"

"Holy crap! That’s incredible!"

Soon, the white "horn" turned into a mountain-like ice object, still growing! It pierced through the roof, crushed the floor! Amid roars, the castle was squeezed and shattered!

Roaring sounds, explosions, dust rolling!

The two Liches quickly deployed magic to protect themselves, barely escaping out of the castle.

The ice mountain continued to grow.

Standing on the hillside, they watched in astonishment as the "ice mountain" kept expanding, completely occupying where the castle had been, until it touched the dome, finally stopping.

Simon grabbed Bruto’s hand, pointing at the ice mountain, shouting, "Look! It’s coming soon! A lifelong unforgettable scene!"

Bruto focused his attention on the ice mountain.

*Then, like magic, at the mountain’s peak, a silver-white bud emerged and bloomed with a ’poof’ sound! A glowing silver-white flower faintly flickered in the darkness.*

"See that! See that!" Simon cheered excitedly.

Bruto was dumbfounded, "Uh... I just wanted to ask, what’s the use of this flower?"

"Why are you so shallow? Does everything have to be useful? Your thinking is narrow!" Simon said righteously, "It’s the power of nature, it bloomed, the ice mountain bloomed! Isn’t that exciting enough?"

"So... it’s over?"

"Of course, the ice mountain bloomed, what more do you want?"

"What about my castle..."

"Castle?" Simon turned around, realizing the castle had become a pile of rubble at the base of the ice mountain.

A light breeze blew, stirring up dust everywhere. A Skeleton Soldier, half-crushed, staggered past the rubble, and with a "pop," collapsed.

The two Liches’ cloaks gently fluttered in the wind, both frozen in place.

"Bruto! I just remembered something urgent, gotta go!"

"You damn stand still!"

A ray of Holy Light descended from the sky, but Simon had already vanished.

"Next time, let’s continue our four-thousand-year-long friendship tradition! But I fear for the next ten thousand years I’ll be busy!" Simon’s voice echoed in the air.

"You better not let me find you——!" Bruto roared, shaking with rage, "From today, I’ll put you and that little Lich on my hunt list! You both wait for death!"

"Don’t miss me too much!" Simon’s voice faded.

*In anger, the mess still needed cleaning up.*

"Everyone wake up! There’s a task!"

Thus, the vast undead army was awakened, not to fight, but to drop weapons and start repairing the castle.

*But the castle was just rubble, not even broken walls, could this castle be repaired?*

Helplessly, Bruto wandered amidst the ruins, the damned ice mountain kept melting, water gushing beneath him, everything becoming soggy, unfriendly to the Lich, who preferred dryness.

Suddenly, he seemed to see something amidst a pile of bricks in the central stream. Hesitating, he reached out, and it flew towards him.

"A book? Hmm, this book seems unfamiliar. How could there be a book in the castle that I’ve never seen? Did Simon leave it? Hmm..." Lich Knight?"

"On the Path to Krimasha Vol. 3: Lich Saint" [The End]
