Chapter 396: Chapter 273: The Death of the Chief Judge (Part 1)
A moment later, Levill made up his mind and said, "There is no other way now. If they survive, they will certainly find our trail. We must kill him here."
Krama’s face turned pale in an instant, and with a trembling voice, he said, "But once we make a move, the White Tower will definitely find us! Meredith, the Master of the White Tower, and the Great Prophet Iyeta will not let us go."
Levill said firmly, "That’s why I’m counting on you."
Krama’s pupils dilated with shock as he exclaimed, "What are you saying?"
Levill took out a black pill and handed it to him, clasping his hands tightly, and said solemnly:
"This is the Egg of Darkness. It can turn your soul dark. If you eat it and kill them, the Royal City will think it’s just you losing control because of the darkness, and we won’t be suspected. Once Rod dies, Star Town won’t last long, and the King’s plan will fail completely. We can still enjoy our former lives."
Krama’s face was devoid of color, and his voice became exceedingly hoarse: "What about me?"
Levill replied gravely, "Don’t worry, I will take care of your wife and daughters, safeguard your fortune, and continue your family line."
Krama could hardly believe his ears and repeated, "Why me?"
Amoli, standing behind him, wrapped his arms around Krama’s shoulders and smiled, "Because we trust you."
Levill said earnestly, "Don’t hesitate, hurry up and kill them. Otherwise, once the Royal City catches a whiff of this, we will all face the fate of extreme punishment. All our property will be confiscated, and all our family members will be sent to work in the Red Workshop. Our Giant lineage will end with our generation. The first King of Giants, Ehaius, seeing his descendants in such sorrow, will weep."
At the mention of Ehaius’s name, Krama’s trembling ceased. He took the Egg of Darkness, swallowed it in one gulp, and silently walked towards the distance.
Levill gracefully bowed to him.
"Godspeed, my brother."
Amoli waved goodbye.
"For the glory of the Giants, kill all those wretches."
Krama didn’t answer; he spread his arms and patted himself.
"Decree, Giant Power!"

Rod awoke in his room, once again naked.
"This Resurrection Stone really isn’t user-friendly at all. Would it kill it to give me some clothes?"
Rod complained, deliberately putting on his underwear and a long robe, then used the "Spirit Boat" to open a Teleportation Gate.
Looking at the silver waves unfolding before his eyes, Rod couldn’t help but marvel at their magic.
In the Royal City, Teleportation Gates are abilities that exist only in legends.
The only pity was that the "Spirit Realm Sympathy" of the "Spirit Boat" could still only transport him to places he had been, and the distance could not exceed one thousand kilometers. It could also only be used once a month, not quite as freely as he wished.
As the silver ripples fully spread, Rod jumped in.
Light shifted to darkness; he returned once again to the Black Fog.
Mephit was right before him.
Her surroundings were utterly empty, not a single monster in sight.
Ha, the Void’s Fury really is extraordinary.
But Rod looked up and saw that a portion of the Aries Demons remained in the distance, at least a few thousand of them.
"What’s happening here?"
Rod’s brow furrowed at once; it was the first time he’d seen the Void fail to clear out all the monsters.
"Didn’t they enter the Void’s Hole?"
Mephit said indifferently, "All the monsters entered the range of the hole, but the hole dissipated after devouring a portion of them."
Rod’s frown deepened.
"How could this be? Does the Void’s Fury have a limit after all? Did it end because the gap of spiritual energy was filled? Can’t it absorb a little more?"
This wasn’t good news.
It suggested that the Void might be some kind of objective existence, and not the Supreme Will or a divine being of the world.
The so-called Void’s Fury was merely a natural disaster he had triggered, much like a tsunami, tornado, or earthquake.
Rod felt a little disappointed.
Nevertheless, the main body of the Aries Demon horde had been destroyed, and dealing with the few thousand Mature Level monsters left was not particularly difficult.
Rod sighed, "Notify Molly to prepare for battle. Not having her stand down from First Level combat readiness turned out to be the right choice."
Just as he was about to call Anna, suddenly, Rod saw a faint red figure in his line of sight. The person’s soul was vibrating intensely, spiritual energy boiling over, and a powerful Spiritual Pressure bore down on him.
Rod saw at a glance that this was no monster!
This was a person!
The soul cores of monsters are uniformly black, while his soul core was gray and brown, with just a small part black.
Moreover, the red light on him was clearly the glow of the Red Tear Stone — monsters do not wear such things.
Rod instantly tensed up.
This person’s Spiritual Power Wave had already exceeded the Tenth Level!
Aside from special circumstances, generally, those with above Tenth Level spiritual energy are Third Level or higher combatants.
"This is an enemy," Mephit suddenly said.
"He carries a strong malice."
Rod also felt it; the person was clearly coming for them.
Perhaps he was the mastermind behind the disasters befalling Star Town. Seeing his plans foiled, he had to step into the fray himself.
