The Last Commander of the Red Alert
Chapter 783: Emperor Rota, Death! (1st Update)

Upon seeing Libra, the members of the Ghost Clan wore expressions of confusion. It seemed they had never encountered a Ghost Clan without horns on their heads.

Or were they still Ghost Clan?

"What... what are you?" Faced with an unknown entity, even the Ghost Clan felt fear. They gathered together, and some bolder ones stepped forward with sticks in hand, as if this would give them enough courage to face Libra.

Libra remained silent. She noticed that these Ghost Clan members didn't seem to be in good condition. They were emaciated, with yellowish faces, and the fabric covering their bodies was minimal, mostly some kind of creature's leather loosely draped around their lower halves, resembling savages.

Libra found it strange. She believed Little Beast had brought her to Yan Yun Star, but if her memory served her right, there weren't so many Ghost Clan members during the incident in the research lab. Moreover, these Ghost Clan members seemed weak.

Back when the first Ghost Clan ancestor, Taru, was born, he already possessed the strength of a Fourth-order Transcendent. In contrast, the most powerful among these Ghost Clan members was only at the fifth level, incredibly weak.

"Summon your leader to see me," Libra said calmly, releasing a hint of Psychic Power to intimidate them, and instantly, all the Ghost Clan members behaved.

In the face of such power, everything they did was a joke.

Soon, an elderly Ghost Clan member, looking frail, walked out. He gazed at Libra and respectfully knelt down.

Libra didn't stop him. She asked, "Tell me what's going on here. Why, as Ghost Clan members, do you look like this? Where is your ancestor?"

However, what the Ghost Clan Old Man said next left Libra bewildered.

According to him, they didn't know the current time because they were driven to the edge of this Underworld by Ghost Clan members with Ghost Patterns, leaving them to fend for themselves.

As for the ancestor, it was just a legend; they had never seen any ancestor.

Ghost Clan members with Ghost Patterns? Weren't they the Latter Ghost Clan?

But she felt like only an instant had passed. Could it be that Little Beast didn't teleport her into Yan Yun Star Underworld but traversed time again?

Only in the future Yan Yun Star would Former Ghost Clan and Latter Ghost Clan appear.

This reminded Libra of the earlier scene and the prophecy.

She had been puzzled from the start. As a Commander summoned to this world, how could there be someone who knew of her existence?

Now it seemed that person might be herself!

With this realization, a problem arose: who was the original her?

Libra shook her head; the mysteries of time were too profound for her to understand. She would ask Yun Ru when she got back.

Since history was as she knew it, she couldn't change it. Consistency in history had to be maintained.

Thus, she began to gather these abandoned Former Ghost Clan members, planting the seed of belief in their hearts and leaving behind the prophecies she had once left. There was the first persona of her and the second persona of her.

Not only that, as Libra spent time here, she discovered that the Former Ghost Clan members seemed to lack the ability to release magic as she remembered. What was going on?

If this issue led to changes in the future, it would be troublesome.

Libra pondered and decided to construct a laboratory here for research.

She simulated some elements required for magic—essentially a combination of prayer and energy manipulation. The question was, whom to pray to?

"Can it be to oneself? If I simplify Psychic Power a bit and enable them to harness energy, would that be considered magic?" Libra mused.

She had never thought that she could create the abilities of an entire race!

While Libra was diligently researching the essence of magic, on the other side, the assassination of Emperor Rota by Shadow Hall officially began!

Severe explosions erupted in three locations on Rota Star, directly leveling three major cities. The tremendous commotion naturally drew all nearby general soldiers.

If they could suppress it, there would be no further issues. Unfortunately, this time, the enemies were powerhouses of the second tier within Shadow Hall, all of them Large Galaxy-level powerhouses and four times evolved!

The wanton destruction caused by three reckless Large Galaxy-level powerhouses was spectacular. If Rota Star were not the Imperial Star of the Rota Empire, reinforced by countless technologies, it would have likely been shattered by their battles long ago.

Even so, the entire planet was shaking violently, as if experiencing an eighth-level earthquake. Everyone took cover, afraid to show themselves. For the first time, they felt that even an Imperial Star was not entirely safe.

The Imperial Star that many racked their brains to enter turned out to be so perilous.

After the three powerhouses killed many generals and soldiers, the situation in the imperial palace became untenable. A portion of the general soldiers guarding the palace was dispatched. At this moment, no one noticed two figures stealthily entering.

"When you attack Zhenyuan later, I'll kill Emperor Rota in one strike. After that, we'll together break through Rota Star's defense system and leave this place."

"Agreed."

The powerhouses were confident, especially being powerhouses of the fifth evolution. Even though their level was lower than Zhenyuan's, they believed their strength would not be inferior.

Just distract for a while, let the teammate kill Emperor Rota—that task was simply too easy.

When the mission was accomplished, they could use that opportunity to leave this small place and venture into a larger world.

At this moment, Emperor Rota was in the Grand Hall, with many ministers standing below, each looking anxious.

"Don't panic, my lords. They're just some invaders. The generals have already rushed over and will soon suppress them," the emperor said with a nonchalant expression.

Zhenyuan stood beside him, expressionless.

At this moment, a figure suddenly appeared in the Grand Hall, extending a hand directly toward the emperor. Zhenyuan's eyes flashed with a hint of light, and he shot out, blocking the incoming strike.

"Protect the emperor!"

Chaos ensued in the hall as Zhenyuan charged out, engaging in a fierce battle with the intruder. The clash between the two powerhouses nearly demolished the Grand Hall.

Shadow Hall members were reckless, but Zhenyuan clearly had reservations, unable to exert his full strength.

Emperor Rota's heart surged but quickly settled down. He had nearly thought he was done for just now.

"Shadow Hall, I will uproot you!" the emperor roared in anger.

A mocking voice suddenly echoed from behind him, "Emperor, you'll never witness that scene in your lifetime."

The emperor's eyes widened, just about to shout, when he felt a sharp pain. A hand had seized his heart, presenting it right in front of him.
