Ruan Jiaojiao immediately lifted his handsome face, planting a big kiss on it, eliciting another round of hearty laughter from Shu Lang, who on his way had been worried that Jiaojiao, being young and forgetful, might have forgotten her uncle over the past six months.

To his surprise, the little one seemed even more affectionate than before.

His laughter was one of pure joy.

"Uncle, I missed you too," Ruan Jie, standing on the ground, immediately joined in, gazing up at him with idolizing eyes.

"Cough cough!! Hmph!" Old Master Shu grunted coldly from his spot in the sun, giving Ruan Jie, who was clinging to Shu Lang and looking up at him with admiring eyes, a frosty glower.

"..." Ruan Jie trembled with fright, his little heart almost jumping out of his chest.

He instinctively hid behind Shu Lang. Grandpa is so scary...
