The soil in the mountain cave was still fresh, and Ruan Jiaojiao stepped on it to find it soft and spongy.

He knew that this couldn’t compare to living in the forest, and she wouldn’t dwell in such a cave anymore. He did all this simply to fulfill one of her dreams.

"Thank you, Brother Xiu. I really like it," Ruan Jiaojiao said. She truly did like it, but not the cave itself—it was his affection for her that she cherished.

Hearing Ruan Jiaojiao say she liked it, Xiu Xi’s expression brightened.

The two entered the cave one after the other; there was nothing inside, just an empty space, but Ruan Jiaojiao still lingered for a while.

Then she saw Xiaobai still rolling around on the ground, obviously enjoying itself immensely.

Suddenly recalling something, she smiled and said to Xiu Xi, "Brother Xiu, I think it would be best to leave this cave for Xiaobai. The size is just right, and in the heat of summer, a cave like this would be perfect for it."

Shu Jiao had prepared hot water for Ruan Jiaojiao and Xiu Xi as well, allowing them to wash up before going to bed.

Ruan Jiaojiao’s mind was a bit foggy as she blinked several times to understand his question. After several seconds, she replied, "Oh, I gave them to Xiu Xun during the day, while you were not at home."
