Ruan Jiaojiao fed Xiu Xi and peeled another one for the Ruanlin Family matron. Ruan Jianguo was still chatting with Lu Zhiwei, so she didn’t bother him and fed herself one too.

"It’s really tasty, thank you, Brother Lu." Ruan Jiaojiao sweetly thanked Lu Xian, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him.

Lu Xian, a bit embarrassed, touched the back of his head and said, "If it’s tasty, next time I’ll have your brother bring you some more. We have plenty at my house!"

Watching the soft and tender little girl, Lu Xian couldn’t help but think she was not only beautiful, but her voice sounded as if it was coated with sugar, incredibly sweet.

He understood even more why Ruan Jie liked to talk about his sister so much. Every time after school, he’d buy some snacks to take back home because with Ruan Jiaojiao looking at him, cooing ’brother’ in her sweet voice, his heart would melt. He wished he could give her all the candy he had.

Not wanting to seem pretentious by refusing further, the Ruanlin Family matron said nothing, chose a dish, and handed the menu back to Lu Zhiwei.
