"That’s the young lady of the Xin Family," Jiang Xun explained, then turning to the shivering Ruan Jie said, "We should head back quickly and change clothes, or else we’ll catch a cold."

"Yes, yes, let’s go back quickly," Yu Rou also reacted, the little girl was frightened pale by this incident.

Jiaojiao hurriedly nodded, not caring about anything else, she helped pull the dazed Ruan Jie up from the ground, and the group hurried to the Jiang Family.

On the way, they ran into Shu Wen and Jiang Bin, who had just finished their conversation. Seeing the situation, both were startled and quite frightened.

It shocked the people chatting inside the house. Shu Jiao, Shu Lang, and Ruan Jianguo quickly stepped up, and Shu Jiao’s heart pounded even faster seeing them all drenched.

Jiang Bin didn’t bother explaining: "Brother Ruan, Sister Shu Jiao, I’ll take Xiaojie to change clothes first." He turned and instructed Jiang Xun, "Xiaoxun, go get Dr. Chen."

In this large courtyard, most residents have a family doctor.

Looking at the shaking Ruan Jie, Shu Jiao felt heartache and kept wiping him with a towel until they reached Jiang Bin’s place. Then she stopped and didn’t follow inside.

Jiaojiao also chased here the entire way, since she was afraid Ruan Jie was cold earlier. She held him the whole time, resulting in herself being quite wet too. Now standing in front of the house, the cold wind made her shiver.

Xiu Xi’s coat was already given to Ruan Jie, as he didn’t have another jacket, fortunately, Ruan Jianguo did. He quickly wrapped Jiaojiao in his coat.

"Jiaojiao, don’t cry. Brother is okay," he softly reassured her while wrapping her in the warm coat.

Jiaojiao wiped her face, only realizing she had cried again. She nodded, wiped her cheeks vigorously, knowing her brother would be alright, but she was really scared.

When she saw Ruan Jie in the water, she didn’t want him to go rescue at all!

Though Ruan Jie had changed clothes inside, he still shivered from the cold. The whole Jiang Family was bustling around, even abandoning meal preparations to heat water for Ruan Jie’s bath.

Jiang Xun also brought the doctor over, first having the Jiang Family prepare a bowl of ginger soup for Ruan Jie to drink, then recommended soaking in a bath for a while to ward off the cold.

Jiaojiao and the others, who followed outside, were also ordered to drink a bowl each. This whole fuss made Jiaojiao upset, she sipped it bit by bit, nestled quietly in Shu Jiao’s arms, looking disheartened.

Shu Jiao held her and gently stroked her little head with some pity.

Jiaojiao looked up and softly said, "Mom, can we go back? I want to go home."

Shu Jiao already had this in mind, seeing her daughter speak up, she immediately informed the Jiang Family of their wish to leave.

Jiang Bin felt very guilty, since he was technically the one who took them out, and resulting in this outcome made him feel he let their parents down.

Jiang Yuanlong and his wife also felt awkward, even though Ruan Jie saved the day on his own accord. But since it happened in their courtyard, and seeing the twin siblings looking unwell, they couldn’t insist, only nodded helplessly.
