Chapter 547: Chapter 556: Danger (1)
"Zexiao?" she asked in confusion, about to turn her head when the man’s hand from behind secured her waist, preventing her from turning or moving her body.
Immediately following, kisses began to fall like raindrops. They moved across her back, her black hair, between her neck, shifting restlessly.
"We’ll wash later," he declared, gently pecking her while making the decision for her without any hesitation.
"Why?" she asked, her thoughts clearly fragmented this evening. It seemed that being "bullied" by him left her unable to think straight.
"Because..." he began, as his lips slowly made their way up one side of her neck, suddenly biting down, his soft lips capturing her translucent earlobe. Under his incisors, he ground it repeatedly.
His unclear voice approached, kissing while saying, "Because if you clean up now, you’ll have to wash again later."
"Why wash again?" she asked blankly, suddenly feeling herself being held and sitting on his lap, back against him. Hearing her words, he released her earlobe, picked up her chin with one hand, turning her face to the side with a gentle smile, "What do you think?"
The end of his sentence lifted slightly, like autumn leaves swirling in the air.
She couldn’t speak, because the next second, his lips sealed hers.
The warm water slowly flooded over their bodies, almost submerging the entire bathroom into a vast ocean. Bubbles from the bath masked the bodies underwater, blurring their outlines. The only clarity was her futile fingers pressing desperately against the edge of the bathtub, feeling as though her soul was about to be scattered by him.
The night was still long...

The next day.
Jian Anning used to handle human resources management in a company in Canada, working from nine to five, with the office close to her home, and no traffic on the road, allowing her to sleep in until seven-thirty, freshen up, have a nutritious breakfast, and then drive to work.
But ever since she fled to Huaxia Country and started working as an assistant for Yu Zexiao, her perfect routine was almost entirely disrupted. Yu Zexiao was an actor, and being one meant there could be various shooting schedules that needed to be attended to at any time. Although he wasn’t rushing around attending commercial events, the grueling shooting tasks still didn’t allow her a moment of relaxation.
