This was due to Lin Fei’s insistence and repeated verbal assurances. It was after Lin Fei returned to Xu Yingying’s office from making the call to the cold and charming Xue Mei. For the twelfth time, Su Qinglan, the enchanting chairwoman, questioned Lin Fei.

“Lin Fei, who exactly did you get in touch with? If we’re not assured of success, we can’t just keep waiting like this. With every passing minute, Miss Xu could be in greater danger.”

Hearing Jiang Ying asking Chairwoman Su Qinglan whether she had had a conflict with someone recently, which might have led to trouble for Xu Yingying, Lin Fei immediately spoke out against this after Chairwoman Su Qinglan finished speaking.

Although Lin Fei had already guessed that a major reason for the kidnapping of Xu Yingying was likely directed at Chairwoman Su Qinglan,

it was clear that the kidnappers wouldn’t have called Chairwoman Su Qinglan right after abducting Xu Yingying if that wasn’t the case.

But considering Chairman Su Qinglan’s current mental state, Lin Fei was obviously reluctant to discuss it in depth with a woman, lest he added to Su Qinglan’s guilt and anxiety.

“Say that again!
