Chapter 635: Chapter 637: A Call from Father-in-law Mu Hong

Night.

Lin Fei and Mu Shanshan were at the Purple Garden Pavilion villa.

As time neared noon, Lin Fei bid farewell to Lin Feng and prepared to leave.

He left the bar, ready to hail a taxi, but unexpectedly saw on the roadside not far away, Yin Qianxue being yanked around by a slightly overweight middle-aged man.

Without a second thought, Lin Fei ran over and heard the two people’s quarreling voices.

“Xue’er, listen to me.”

“Let go of me!”

“Xue’er…”

“I told you to let go!”

Yin Qianxue tried to walk away, but the man grabbed her arm and she couldn’t break free.

“Let go!”

Standing beside them, Lin Fei said coldly, and incidentally pulled Yin Qianxue away from the man’s grasp.

The man hadn’t expected Lin Fei to suddenly intervene and stand up to him with a hostile tone, “Who the fuck are you? None of your business meddling in my matters?!”

Yin Qianxue hurriedly stood in front of Lin Fei upon hearing this, not because she was afraid for Lin Fei, but because she feared that the man might get beaten up badly by Lin Fei for his foul mouth.

“This is my brother. You should leave now.”

The man, seemingly not hearing the latter part, sized up Lin Fei and scoffed disdainfully: “Brother? Trying to fool a three-year-old? Must be your lover. I’ll tell you, Yin Qianxue, your taste has really gone down, ending up with such a pretty boy. I’m actually curious if he can even satisfy you!”

“Didn’t you hear me tell you to leave?!” Lin Fei grew impatient, stepped forward, ready to throw out the man, but Yin Qianxue stopped him.

However, the middle-aged man still didn’t realize the gravity of the situation, stretched out his arms, sneered, and said, “Trying to scare me? The boss didn’t grow up being scared; someone like you—go to hell!”

After speaking, he swung a fist towards Lin Fei.

Ah!

A scream ensued.

Yin Qianxue couldn’t clearly see what had happened, only that the man was now holding his own, apparently broken, arm and screaming in pain.

“Get lost and don’t make me repeat myself!”

The man glanced at Lin Fei in terror and quickly scrammed.

“With your taste, you shouldn’t fancy someone like him.” Watching the man flee into the distance, Lin Fei pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it for himself, “How did you get entangled with him.”

“He’s the classmate I mentioned to you before; he has been pursuing me lately. At first, he seemed okay when we interacted.” As Yin Qianxue spoke, she sighed: “But after a few meals, I realized he’s nothing but a hypocrite. Today, when I met with him, I made my rejection clear, yet he wouldn’t accept it. Lucky you came along, otherwise… never mind, I’ve caused you trouble again.”

“No problem, it was just a gesture.” After comforting her in a gentle voice, Lin Fei tossed away the cigarette butt, “You better go inside; I have to leave for now. If something like this happens again, call me immediately.”

As he finished speaking, Lin Fei hailed a taxi to go to Yun Chuyao and her sister’s place for lunch.

As he left, Lin Fei didn’t see that Yin Qianxue was standing at the doorway, watching the direction he left in, reluctant to go inside for a long time.

Yun Chuyao and her sister didn’t expect Lin Fei to suddenly come over and were delighted beyond expectation. Yun Chuyao even went back into the kitchen to prepare several more dishes. Lin Fei, unable to decline such hospitality, let her go about it.

Lin Fei and Yun Mengyao sat in the living room together, watching TV.

Lin Fei also took the opportunity to chat with her about school matters, and through the conversation, he could feel Yun Mengyao’s excitement for the college life that would start tomorrow.

When he learned that Yun Mengyao was studying business management, Lin Fei patted her head earnestly and said, “Yaoyao, study hard in school, and once you graduate, I’ll hand over the company that will open in a few days to you to manage.”

If Yun Chuyao had been there, she would definitely have urged Yun Mengyao to decline, always feeling that they shouldn’t keep relying on Lin Fei for support.

But Yun Mengyao didn’t care about these things at all; she saw Lin Fei as her closest person and accepted his generosity without reservation, confidently assuring Lin Fei, “Don’t worry, Brother Fei, I will work hard.”

“Good kid.”

“Dinner’s ready, Lin Fei, Yaoyao, come eat.”

“Coming, sister!”

Yun Mengyao sprang up, pulling Lin Fei to the dining room.

After lunch, the three sat together, chatting idly and enjoying the rare tranquil moments.
