I think they’ll definitely suit your wife.”

Lin Fei nodded, glanced at the price tag, eighty-eight thousand, still within his acceptable range, and decided to buy them on the spot.

The salesperson immediately found someone to carefully package the earrings.

“Who knew you understood things girls like,” Lin Fei couldn’t help but regard Lin Feng with newfound respect.

Lin Feng chuckled, “Of course, I understand.

I’ve got my own stories.”

“What stories?”

Lin Feng began, then scratched his head awkwardly midway, “Ah, they’re all tales of past romances, not worth mentioning.”

Praising you just got to your head,” Lin Fei couldn’t help but laugh.

“What stories can a little brat like you have?”

After purchasing the earrings, Lin Fei planned to take Lin Feng to the Nightshade Bar first to have him equip the earrings with a tracker and a listening device.

Then, they would head to the Hyatt Hotel for the evening school reunion.

Since there was still plenty of time, Lin Fei wasn’t in a rush.

As night fell, the city instantly became a lively scene of bright lights.

Lin Feng leaned against the car window, idly gazing at the city’s nightscape, and couldn’t help but exclaim, “I never knew the city’s nightscape was so beautiful.”

Upon reaching the Nightshade Bar, Lin Feng took Lin Fei to his room and installed the tracker and listening device chips into the earrings Lin Fei had bought, which didn’t take much time at all.

Lin Fei examined the earrings in his hand and curiously asked, “How long will this thing last?”

“As it uses thermal energy to transmit the signal, as long as these are on Mu Shanshan’s ears, they’ll always work.”

“Awesome,” Lin Fei patted Lin Feng on the shoulder, “Well done.

I made the right decision saving your life back then.”

Lin Feng beamed with pride.

Since Yin Qianxue wasn’t around, Lin Fei didn’t delay any further.

He said goodbye to Lin Feng and drove back to the Hyatt International Hotel.

During the drive, Shen Lexuan had called Lin Fei to invite him out for dinner but, learning about Lin Fei’s class reunion, she decided not to.

Arriving at the Hyatt Hotel with a quarter of an hour to spare before eight o’clock, Lin Fei called Li Lu to ask where they were.

Li Lu told him the room number, which Lin Fei was all too familiar with.

After parking his car, he headed straight to the room, excited at the thought of seeing Bai Ya.

Pushing open the room door, Lin Fei saw around the large round table about a dozen people were seated.

His gaze immediately started searching for Bai Ya amongst the crowd, but after scanning the dozen or so around the table and another five or six people playing cards on the side, Lin Fei did not spot Bai Ya.

“Still early, maybe she hasn’t arrived yet,” Lin Fei thought to himself as he walked further into the room.

Li Lu saw Lin Fei and stood up to greet him.

Lin Fei asked in a low voice, “Where’s Bai Ya?”

“You’re so hung up on her.” Rolling her eyes at him, Li Lu whispered back, “Don’t worry, she should be here soon.

I called her earlier, and she promised she’d come.”

Lin Fei nodded, sat beside Li Lu, and quickly took stock of the people at the table.

He realized that, apart from a few familiar faces, he had completely forgotten the majority of them.

Lin Fei might not remember them, but they had a deep impression of him from high school—the notorious Lin Fei, undaunted and successful in pursuing the school belle, Bai Ya.

The table started reminiscing with Lin Fei, with most not very familiar with him, so Lin Fei casually responded.

He only engaged in longer conversations with those he remembered.

At that moment, a medium-height, chubby man sat down next to Lin Fei, draped an arm over his shoulder, and said, “Chen Bro, remember me?”

“Who are you?” Lin Fei found the man’s voice very familiar and took a closer look.

Suddenly, he recognized that this chubby guy was his desk mate from the first year of high school, “Guodong, right?

Still as chubby as ever.

You’ve really lived up to the nickname ‘Jelly.'”

The chubby man, Li Guodong, had gotten the nickname ‘Jelly’ in high school due to his plump figure and snack-loving habits; he was once caught eating jelly during class by a teacher.

“What do you know, this is called having a prospering appearance.” Seeing Lin Fei recognized him, Li Guodong handed him a cigarette and complained, “You vanished right after high school.

I missed you but couldn’t find you anywhere.

If Li Lu hadn’t told me you’d be here today, I wouldn’t have bothered showing up.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“You’ll find out soon enough.

By the way, what happened between you and Bai Ya in the end?”

Li Guodong brought up Bai Ya, and Lin Fei’s enthusiasm notably waned, “I got busy right after graduating and never contacted her again.

I came to this reunion because Li Lu said Bai Ya would be here.”

“Looks like Li Lu wanted you two to meet but was afraid it would be awkward, so she got you to come to this reunion.”

“Why do you say that?”

“Li Lu and Bai Ya never attend class reunions.

They suddenly show up this time; if not to see you, then what for?”
