Chapter 425 - 425 425 Little Sister-in-law Meng Ke'er
425: Chapter 425: Little Sister-in-law, Meng Ke’er 425: Chapter 425: Little Sister-in-law, Meng Ke’er Tai Man Ocean, the flight that Lin Fei and Xue Mei were on from Manzhou to Mo Country, had crashed somewhere not too far from here.
On the deck of the luxury cruise ship belonging to Xue Mei—named after her own pseudonym.
“Boss, where did you find this sister-in-law?
She’s pretty and has a beautiful voice.”
Listening to the soothing euphony coming from the neighboring luxury cruise ship, which seemed to comfort the soul, the Hell’s Judgement Organization’s Manzhou Base director, Manshan, expressed his envy.
“Don’t talk nonsense if you’re not sure.
Be careful of misfortune coming out of your mouth.”
Similarly, because of the enchanting woman with the ethereal voice on the neighboring luxury cruise ship who had held him as they jumped into the sea and whose singing comforted those who heard it, Lin Fei, slightly entranced, suddenly heard Manshan’s comment about the “sister-in-law.”
Lin Fei, almost subconsciously, glanced around.
Not seeing Xue Mei, the captivating figure in the vicinity, he then soberly and sternly warned Manshan.
After being warned by Lin Fei, Manshan, the director of Hell’s Judgement Organization’s Manzhou Base, looked knowingly at the enigmatic woman aboard the neighboring luxury cruise ship whom he saw as a sister-in-law and then showed an expression that said he understood everything and wouldn’t discuss such matters in front of a “sister-in-law.” Moreover, go ahead, boss, no worries.
Watching Manshan’s obviously twisted understanding, Lin Fei felt a headache coming on and was truly irritated.
Although, before the plane had crashed, Lin Fei had indeed tried to strike up a conversation with the alluring woman with the divine voice on the neighboring luxury cruise ship.
But it had been more to pass the time in boredom than anything else.
Pretty is pretty, a beautiful voice is a beautiful voice, but “sister-in-law” obviously was stretching it too far.
This misunderstanding was just between them in private.
If Manshan were to call that enchanting woman who had held him as they jumped into the sea his “sister-in-law” in front of Xue Mei,
That would be an absolute disaster for Lin Fei!
As Lin Fei was thinking about giving Manshan, the director of Hell’s Judgement Organization’s Manzhou Base, a lesson to prevent him from creating any unnecessary troubles by calling her “sister-in-law” in front of Xue Mei,
a relatively thin figure with a stern step wearing sunglasses, Vulture, the deputy director of the Hell’s Judgement Organization’s Manzhou Base, walked over following the lead of a male member of the organization.
“Vulture, that was not right of you; the sister-in-law’s status is extremely noble.
How could you let her show herself and sing for those people?!”
Before Lin Fei had a chance to speak, Manshan, the organization’s top director at Manzhou Base, was quick to accuse Vulture of not taking good care of the “sister-in-law.”
Although Vulture, wearing sunglasses and tasked by Lin Fei to handle and settle the passengers who jumped into the sea, was somewhat puzzled by Manshan’s accusations regarding not properly looking after the “sister-in-law.”
While Lin Fei felt relieved seeing Vulture, the genuine and straightforward deputy director unlike Manshan who randomly claims sister-in-laws, which spared him some troubles,
Vulture turned around to head back, muttering, “I’ll go bring the sister-in-law back.”
“Come back!”
Because Vulture, the deputy director of Hell’s Judgement Organization’s Manzhou Base, turned to head towards the neighboring luxury cruise ship intending to bring back the enchanting woman with the melodious voice who had held him as they jumped into the sea, Lin Fei, who was caught off-guard, gathered his senses and immediately stopped Vulture.
Bring her back?!
Are you kidding me?
That’s literally pushing him into a pit of fire!
If Vulture from Hell’s Judgement Organization, the person in charge of Manzhou Base number two, really brought back that enchanting woman who jumped into the ocean with him, backed by the identity of “little sister-in-law,” and who possessed a voice of divine beauty for Lin Fei,
not to mention what the woman herself might feel if Xue Mei, that coldly beautiful creature, saw or heard about it.
It would indeed be questionable whether Xue Mei would let Lin Fei, our honorable official, return safely to Zhonghai.
“I don’t want to elaborate unnecessarily—the woman has nothing to do with me.
My only connection to her is that we shared a flight.
Do I need to explain this a second time?!”
Intent on avoiding unnecessary trouble for himself, Lin Fei sternly explained to Manshan and Vulture, his words carrying a clear warning.
Lin Fei was determined to clarify the relationship between him and that enchanting woman with the divine voice to Manshan and Vulture.
Alas, his seemingly evasive explanations only deepened Manshan and Vulture’s misunderstanding.
“Don’t worry, boss; we know exactly what should and shouldn’t be said.”
After Lin Fei finished speaking, Manshan and Vulture, the heads of the Hell’s Judgement Organization at the Manzhou base, almost immediately assured Lin Fei with great fervor.
Facing his seemingly sincere subordinates, Lin Fei felt quite exasperated…
The more he tried to clarify, the deeper Manshan and Vulture’s misunderstanding seemed to get.
Lin Fei, quite simply, grew tired of further explaining and cautioning them.
“Do you know what that woman’s name is?!”
“Which woman?”
“The one singing!”
“Boss, it’s no fun when you’re like this.
The sister-in-law isn’t here, it’s just us two—you—”
“What’s that woman’s name, and if you two don’t want to end up soaked in the ocean, don’t make me ask a third time!”
If Lin Fei hadn’t still wanted some useful information from Manshan and Vulture, he likely wouldn’t have bothered engaging them further.
One or two misunderstandings were forgivable, but these unfounded assumptions, to a degree, were akin to slandering him.
Luckily Xue Mei, that cold beauty, was not present; otherwise, Lin Fei might have kicked both Manshan and Vulture into the sea for a bath long ago.
Realizing Lin Fei was not joking, Manshan, the leading head of the Hell’s Judgement Organization, discreetly kicked Vulture.
Kicked by Manshan, Vulture almost subconsciously blurted out, “Meng Ke’er.”
“Meng Ke’er?” As he recalled the graceful figure who had jumped into the sea with him and thought of the woman’s visage, which held a hint of saintliness, the silhouette that he had once chatted up under the pretense of being an aviation inspector and flight marshal gradually overlapped with the name Meng Ke’er.
“What is she doing singing over there?!”
Thinking how he, along with Xue Mei, had previously boarded Xue Mei’s luxury cruise together and Meng Ke’er was now singing on the neighboring luxury yacht, Lin Fei couldn’t help but be somewhat astonished.
Vulture, his nerves shaken by Lin Fei’s threat of a dip in the ocean, almost immediately responded after Lin Fei spoke: “The mood among those who fell overboard was a bit unstable.
Sister-in-law—Miss Meng Ke’er, volunteered to help soothe them.”
Hearing Vulture’s explanation, and listening to the soothing, melodious singing reaching his ears, Lin Fei once again sank into deep thought…
