“Who are you?”

Faced with Lin Fei’s question, one of them stepped forward and introduced himself.

“Manager Luo, my name is Chen Xudong, and these two are my brothers, Fang Lei and Zhao Jie.”

“This is the security duty room.

What can I do for you?”

Lin Fei returned to his desk.

“Manager Luo, we’re here as temporary workers to fill the vacancies of your third squad; we’re waiting for Manager Xu’s notification to see if we can stay.”

Lin Fei listened and asked them to wait.

Temporary workers, huh?

Perhaps it was the abundance of negative news in the media about temporary workers, but Lin Fei didn’t have a good impression of the term.

Before long, Xu Pingliang called to inform Lin Fei that Mu Shanshan had agreed to let these three temporary workers take up the positions, replacing three regular employees for a period of time.

“The higher-ups have agreed to your appointment, two weeks, with a daily wage of 200.”

“Okay, thank you, Manager Luo.

We’ll go to work now.”

“Hold on.”

Lin Fei made a phone call to summon Li Yang, instructing him to take these three people to work and to keep a close eye on them, not permitting any mistakes.

Li Yang patted his chest and said no problem, then left with Chen Xudong and the others.

Lin Fei leaned back in his chair, leisurely scrolling through his phone.

Now that he was a supervisor, he had a much easier time than before, living his days comfortably and at ease.

Lunchtime.

Just as Lin Fei was about to head to the company restaurant, he received a call from Li Yang.

“What’s up?”

“Bro Chen, someone hit one of the hotel’s service staff.”

“Location, I’m on my way.”

After getting the precise location, Lin Fei immediately headed to the second-floor lobby of the hotel.

It was mealtime, and the hall was packed with people.

Lin Fei rushed towards the northwest corner where the incident occurred.

Upon arrival, Lin Fei stepped forward and, with patience, tried to defuse the situation, saying, “Sir, this is a public place.

Please be mindful of your image.”

The man started cursing right away.

Lin Fei could tell he was intentionally causing trouble, but now that he was on duty, he couldn’t get physical.

He thought to himself that if he encountered this man in private, he would certainly smash his arrogant face.

“The hotel has clear regulations; one must maintain a good image in public places.

Do not make me repeat myself, or else I will have to ask you to leave.”

“What happened?”

“That doesn’t mean you can hit someone.”

“If that’s the case, I apologize.” Having said that, Lin Fei helped the service worker who was wiping the floor up, noticing her tearful eyes, and quietly comforted her, “Don’t worry, you don’t have to be afraid, just apologize to them and that will be enough.”

“No, it’s not that.

They tripped me on purpose, so…”

Before she could finish speaking, the man cursed out loud.

Having finished speaking, he raised his hand, aiming to slap the service worker.

Lin Fei grabbed the man’s wrist, applying a bit of force, and a cry of pain could be heard from him.

“You, you dare to hit me?”

The man glared at Lin Fei with unchecked fury.

“I didn’t hit you.

You were the one who tried to strike our service worker.”

Lin Fei spoke coldly, restraining the anger in his heart, which would have otherwise led to the man and his group being kicked out horizontally if not for the fact that he was on duty.

As if intimidated by Lin Fei’s commanding presence, the man backed down, “Well then, you say what should be done, how you’ll compensate me.”

Lin Fei whispered to the service worker, “You apologize first.

Trust me, I’ll ensure justice for you.”

The young service worker looked tearfully at Lin Fei, nodded, and then timidly apologized to the man and his group.

“Sir, we’ve apologized, and as for compensation, the service department manager will speak with you in detail later.”

After Lin Fei finished speaking, the man spat with disdain.

“Pfft, boring.

Let’s go, brothers.

With this attitude, this lousy hotel will close down sooner or later.”

He spoke deliberately loud, and his entourage echoed him, causing many guests around them, perhaps influenced by their noise, to pay their bills and leave.

Lin Fei smiled coldly, stepping aside to give the man room to pass.

Thinking Lin Fei had backed down, the man strutted past with an arrogant air.

As the man got close to him, Lin Fei swiftly kicked at his ankle.
