The King of Urban Mercenaries
Chapter 255 - 255 255

255: Chapter 255 255: Chapter 255 Rose Manor, Xue Mei’s private villa.

Lying in Lin Fei’s arms, Xue Mei had already cried herself into a tearful mess.

After a while of comforting, Xue Mei managed to stop crying reluctantly.

“When did you wake up?!”

After pacifying Xue Mei, Lin Fei couldn’t hide his annoyance and questioned Manzhou.

It had been over a month since Lin Fei dared to come to Rose Manor because he didn’t know she had awoken.

This delay was essentially hindering his and Xue Mei’s intimate moments!

“Only woke up a few days ago, her condition is still somewhat unstable.

I was planning to wait until her injuries were completely stable before calling you to report,” Manzhou hurriedly explained as he sensed Lin Fei’s irritation.

“I want to hear Elder Wei speak.”

Originally lying in Lin Fei’s arms, Xue Mei suddenly heard Manzhou’s words concerning Elder Wei’s unstable condition, and her worries surged back up.

Her beautiful, alluring eyes fixed on Lin Fei, clearly leaving him no room to refuse her.

Having known each other for quite some time, Lin Fei had clearly understood Xue Mei’s temperament.

Seeing her determination, Lin Fei had no choice but to comply with her wishes.

“How is it, any problem?” Xue Mei might have her wishes, but such matters obviously depended on Elder Wei’s own condition.

Thereupon, Lin Fei directly asked Manzhou.

Manzhou on the other end of Lin Fei’s phone, having heard Xue Mei speak, paused for two seconds before responding, “If it’s just a few words, it shouldn’t be a problem.”

“I’ll call you in ten minutes.”

With that, Lin Fei hung up the phone.

Not because he, Lin Fei, begrudged the long-distance call charges, but because he knew it would take some time for Manzhou to reach Elder Wei’s hospital room.

Manzhou, after all, was the temporary head of the Hell’s Judgement Organization’s Manzhou Base.

Usually, he had plenty to attend to and it was obviously not possible for him to stay constantly outside Elder Wei’s hospital room.

Ten minutes wasn’t exactly long but wasn’t short either.

Yet, for Lin Fei, it felt somewhat unbearable.

Holding the delicate beauty in his arms and considering Xue Mei’s emotional state, he found himself unable to advance further.

This sense of being able to hold but not touch was genuinely a bit frustrating for him.

Fortunately, Manzhou was quite efficient at his tasks; he called back in less than ten minutes, indirectly saving Lin Fei from the enforced endurance of frustration.

“Girl, you must have been very worried these days.” Elder Wei’s faintly weak voice came through Lin Fei’s phone.

Hearing this voice, tears silently slid down the corners of Xue Mei’s eyes.

Initially, she, Thorny Rose’s Chairman, worried that Lin Fei had made someone pretend over the phone that Elder Wei had awoken just to comfort her.

However, upon hearing Elder Wei’s voice, Xue Mei felt completely relieved.

Perhaps voices could be imitated, but feelings couldn’t be faked.

In this world, only Elder Wei, who had watched her grow up since she was little, would call her “girl”.

Besides him, there was no other.

And since Xue Mei had grown up and taken over as the chairman of Thorny Rose, Elder Wei had ceased calling her that way to establish her authority within Thorny Rose, referring to her as the chairman instead.

Now, Elder Wei calling her “girl” truly touched Xue Mei’s heart deeply.

“Girl, tell Lin Fei thanks for me, we owe him a favor.

I’m afraid, with this old body of mine, I might not have the chance to repay him in my lifetime.

If you have the chance, remember to repay it for me.”

After Elder Wei spoke, he greeted Manzhou and Lin Fei, then hung up the phone.

After all, having just woken up not long ago, it was a feat for Elder Wei to speak so much in one breath.

Nevertheless, that was enough to put Xue Mei’s mind at ease.

It didn’t matter much to Xue Mei what Elder Wei said or how much he spoke, what mattered was knowing that Elder Wei had survived.

For her, that was enough.

Tonight’s call was the most gratifying one she had heard in over twenty years as Chairman.

“Xue Mei, darling, although I don’t mind you crying in my arms, isn’t this a bit too many tears?” Xue Mei was overjoyed and couldn’t help crying.

However, that must have been tough on Lin Fei, or more precisely, on the designer shirt bought for Lin Fei by the powerful CEO, Mu.

Due to the deluge of Xue Mei’s tears, the shirt was almost transparent.

Of course, the matter of a shirt is trivial.

Someone as wealthy and generous as CEO Mu would certainly not mind buying a few more shirts for Lin Fei, her economical husband.

What truly bothered Lin Fei was that Xue Mei had been sobbing in his arms the whole time, making it awkward for him to “mount his horse.”

Late at night, with all matters resolved, they couldn’t just continue sobbing indefinitely without attending to important matters.

“So, are you complaining about me?” Xue Mei, who had been relieved of a heavy burden by Elder Wei’s awakening, still looked tearfully beautiful but obviously felt much lighter in spirits.

“I don’t think there is a man in the world who would complain about you,” said Lin Fei, his eyes unblinkingly fixed on Xue Mei’s proud and full silhouette.

Rising from Lin Fei’s arms, Xue Mei spoke earnestly, “That, you can look to your heart’s content later, but now, I want you to look into my eyes.”

Receiving a personal promise from Xue Mei, Lin Fei was certainly not going to be stingy with those few minutes, and turned his eyes to Xue Mei’s charming and lively phoenix eyes.

As Lin Fei admired Xue Mei’s enchanting eyes, their gazes met, and Xue Mei’s lips parted slightly, whispering two words.

“Thank you.”

This was the first time in her life the Chairman Xue Mei had ever said thank you to anyone.

Although it was just a brief two words, they genuinely came from the deepest recesses of Chairman Xue Mei’s heart.

Considering the relationship between Chairman Xue Mei and Lin Fei, there was no real need to say thank you.

However, this thank you was necessary.

It was not related to her personal feelings for Lin Fei, nor was it for Lin Fei’s effort in helping Elder Wei.

It was for Lin Fei’s protection and companionship during a time she thought she might lose her closest kin and feel utterly alone!

“A thank you isn’t just said with the mouth.”

“Then, what else do you want?”

“You know what I want.”

How could he not know, they were so familiar with each other.

Lin Fei knew what Chairman Xue Mei wanted, and how could Chairman Xue Mei not know what Lin Fei wanted.

Lin Fei met the needs expressed by Chairman Xue Mei, and naturally, Chairman Xue Mei would not be stingy in fulfilling a need of Lin Fei.

“If that’s what you want, I’ll give it to you.”

With those words, Xue Mei’s tender red lips eagerly met Lin Fei’s.

With a kiss, Xue Mei brought Lin Fei down onto the couch.

Simply put, Lin Fei was successfully seduced by Xue Mei…
