Chapter 360: Chapter 359: Are You Guys Fooling Around?

Nuwa didn’t particularly value these treasures, but mainly she felt that Old Deng Hong Jun divided the loot unfairly. After all, when it came to the famous treasure collections of the Primordial era, she didn’t have a single one.

You don’t actually believe the Daoist Ancestor distributes treasures based on "destiny," do you? No way, right?

Heavenly Creation’s three-piece set? Nope. Ten Great Innate Spirit Roots? Nope. Four Great Innate Spirit Platforms? Nope. The Five-color Five-direction Flags? Still nope!

I may not necessarily use them, but I absolutely must have them—that’s Nuwa’s stubborn pride!

Following Nuwa’s instructions, Nezha waited briefly in Jin Ling’s closed-door cultivation palace. Before long, Jin Ling emerged. Seeing Nezha waiting outside, she was a bit surprised, then said meaningfully, "Junior Brother Nezha, the Great Dao is eternal. Matters of affection are fleeting; do not let them distract you."

Nezha: ...

I can’t exactly say, "My teacher told me to bring the Chaos Bell and show off to your teacher," right?

Recently, Jin Ling had been cultivating in Nuwa Palace, occasionally receiving guidance from Nuwa. Nuwa’s towering image had already been firmly rooted in her heart, so there was no way Nezha would expose his teacher’s secrets.

"Senior Sister is absolutely right," he replied.

Though Jin Ling began by lecturing Nezha, it still warmed her heart.

"I’ve been out for quite some time, so I should head back to the East Sea. Junior Brother, focus on your cultivation. As immortals, our bodies are undying; there will always be time to spend together."

Nezha decided not to reveal Jin Ling’s minor misunderstanding and vaguely replied, "As it happens, I also have some matters to attend to in the East Sea. Why don’t we travel together?"

Jin Ling thought these were just excuses, assuming Nezha simply couldn’t bear to part with her. However, this time, she didn’t decline.

This wasn’t mere self-centered overthinking on her part. As the Jie Sect’s eldest disciple, Jin Ling had been outstanding since childhood and was simply used to it.

"Very well, then," she agreed.

Nezha took his leave of Nuwa and set off for the East Sea with Jin Ling.

Meanwhile, Da Huang had already been sent back to work by Nezha. Since there was no rush this time, Nezha casually hopped onto Jin Ling’s Seven Fragrance Car. Watching the seven tiny fragrant pigs pulling the carriage ahead was oddly amusing.

Inside the carriage, there was a faint, refreshing scent. Whether it was from the vehicle itself or the pigs, Nezha couldn’t tell.

The two traveled as though on a holiday, making leisurely progress toward the East Sea. However, before they could arrive, a deafening roar echoed across the Primordial Land. Nezha, who had been reclining with his head on Jin Ling’s lap, immediately sat up and looked toward the East Sea.

Jin Ling had initially thought Nezha just wanted to stick close to her throughout the journey, but now she finally believed him. The two sped toward the East Sea, deploying their divine skills. From above, they saw a terrifying vortex forming in the depths of the East Sea.

As soon as they reached the coastline, towering waves surged menacingly toward the nearby towns. Nezha harnessed his mana and unleashed a punch from mid-air. The terrifying force created a sharp sonic boom, spreading out fan-like across a 160-degree arc in front of him.

The massive waves that had been headed for the town were met with overwhelming power head-on. Under the immense pressure, the entire coastline leveled out as though flattened. The waves trembled violently, then shattered and fell. A strong undercurrent quickly reversed course, surging back into the ocean depths.

Ignoring the countless mortals bowing in gratitude below, Nezha and Jin Ling rushed into the East Sea. Nezha didn’t even need to think—this was undoubtedly another mess caused by the Dragon Clan.

When Nezha and Jin Ling arrived above the deep-sea vortex, a quick glance revealed that the gaping hole was even more horrifying than the notorious Returning Ruins!

Nezha couldn’t help but suspect the Dragon Clan wasn’t just trying to plug a tube into the Ancestor Dragon—they were trying to destroy the Primordial World entirely!

There was no time to figure out the specifics. The vortex below was growing larger by the second. If they didn’t act quickly to contain it, the losses to the Primordial World would be catastrophic.

Jie Sect Immortals, who resided near the East Sea, were the first to arrive on the scene after the Dragon Clan. Among them, Duobao Daoist furrowed his brows deeply. Despite his high cultivation, he could not discern the root cause of the chaos, but it was clear what was happening.

The Ancestor Dragon had broken free!

The Dragon Clan, for reasons unknown, had created a hole here. Clearly, they had failed, as the hole expanded uncontrollably. Since the Dragon Clan was better at destruction than repair, they had simply abandoned it.

Compounding the issue, this was the location of the Sea Eye. Without the Ancestor Dragon to stabilize the area, the hole was subjected to relentless water pressure, which caused its expansion rate to increase exponentially.

Nezha, limited by his shallower cultivation, was unable to see the full scope of the underwater situation, leading to a misjudgment that lumped the Sea Eye in with the Dragon Clan’s mishap. However, if no action was taken soon, his incorrect assumption would end up becoming reality.

After meeting up, Nezha and Duobao exchanged information. Realizing his mistake, Nezha understood that the pressing issue was to stop the Sea Eye’s leakage; otherwise, the hole’s expansion would grow worse, and the Primordial World’s spiritual energy would drain at an alarming rate.

As for tracking down the Ancestor Dragon, that was a problem for later.

"Junior Brother, do you have a way to seal the breach?" asked Duobao.

Nezha thought for a moment and replied, "I can seal the breach made by the Dragon Clan, but I can’t do anything about the Sea Eye."

The breaches Nezha had plugged in the past were like punctures. In contrast, the Sea Eye was a natural, functional organ of the Primordial World. The Ancestor Dragon had served as a kind of intelligent stopper there.

Now that the stopper had broken free, it couldn’t simply be sealed shut, could it?

To stabilize the Sea Eye, the old method would have to be used—by filling it with someone.

Duobao Daoist evidently came to the same conclusion. "In that case, I’ll temporarily replace the Ancestor Dragon to suppress the Sea Eye. However, I’ll need three breaths to set up an array. Meanwhile, how do we handle the intense force surging from the Sea Eye?"

He looked at Nezha as he spoke. Clearly, he still remembered the fake Tai Chi Diagram Nezha had conjured last time and wanted him to pull a similar trick again.

Nezha understood Duobao’s intention and thought to himself, *Isn’t this the perfect chance to show off on behalf of my teacher?* Despite the considerable distance to Golden Turtle Island, acting under Saint Tongtian’s watchful eye was no big deal.

He raised his hand, summoning the Chaos Bell.

Duobao had initially been stroking his beard, expecting Nezha to take out a diagram. Instead, Nezha pulled out a bell. A bell, while unconventional, could still work—but this bell looked suspiciously real.

He squinted for a closer look.

Gasp!

Wasn’t this the genuine Chaos Bell?!

The one feeling the worst at this moment, however, was Sect Hierarch Tongtian. Jie Sect had long lacked a treasure to stabilize its Qi Fortune. Ever since the Chaos Bell disappeared from the Primordial World, he had spent countless Yuan Hui searching for it in Chaos.

And now, somehow, the Chaos Bell had ended up in Nuwa’s disciple’s hands?!

In a flash, his thoughts turned to the recent Chaos Trial. Forget about the Western Two Saints for a moment. Nuwa went out and retrieved the Chaos Bell. Second Brother went out and slew a Chaos Demon God. As for Eldest Brother? You’re the cleverest of us all. Are you seriously telling me you came back empty-handed? I don’t buy it for a second!

And here I am, dutifully staying in the Primordial World, only to find out you’ve all been playing me for a fool?!

With a frosty snort, Sect Hierarch Tongtian brandished the Qingping Sword and sent a strike directly toward the Western Two Saints.

Jieyin and Zhunti, already sporting bitter expressions, looked even more miserable. One quickly raised the Seven Treasures Miao Tree while the other lifted the Green Lotus Treasure Flag to block the attack.

*We just sent avatars to protect our disciples—who did we offend? Why don’t you go hack at the other two instead?!*
