The Investiture: Unlimited Blade Works Nezha
Chapter 348 - 347: Going Home

Chapter 348: Chapter 347: Going Home

The Jie Sect’s influence suffered significant damage during the Divine Enthronement Tribulation. Once boasting tens of thousands of immortals, now only two to three thousand remain. When they set out, losing a thousand Earth Immortals, Heavenly Immortals, and True Immortals seemed as trivial as if their lives were worth nothing.

The truth is, these three cultivation realms are the mainstream in the Primordial Era. Reaching any of these realms without tens of thousands of years of arduous effort is nothing but a pipe dream.

Thus, the Jie Sect now urgently needs new blood to join its ranks. The expansion of Sanxiao’s influence is undoubtedly a great boon for Jie Sect, and Nezha’s visit was meant to deliver greetings.

Yet the result was a session of humiliation at the hands of Tongtian Sect Master...

"Thirty thousand years east of the river, thirty thousand years west of the river—never despise a poor youth!"

One day, I, Nezha, will fiercely retaliate against Uncle Tongtian’s disciples!

If not the disciples, then the disciples’ disciples.

With an optimistic spirit intact, Nezha left Golden Turtle Island for his next destination, the Heavenly Court.

Originally, this matter would have best involved Marshal of the Heavenly Canopy Tianpeng and his 100,000 Heavenly River Navy, but Tianpeng proved utterly unreliable, daydreaming about the moon all day. His nickname, "Moon Guardian," has echoed across the Heavenly Court.

Nezha’s relationship with him has all but frozen. It’s not wrong to have personal hobbies, but the prerequisite is doing one’s job well. Bian Zhuang, forget even personal hobbies—in the Moon Palace, he wouldn’t dare set foot.

Returning to the Star Sea, Nezha first inspected the preparation progress of the materials overseen by Shi Ji. Shi Ji’s conservative style is dependable, and Nezha quickly instructed her to prepare extra quantities of Red Flame Sand and materials to refine Soil; he then ordered his two secretaries to summon the Star Gods.

Under the leader’s command and motivated by their wages, the various Star Lords responded eagerly, especially Azure Dragon Star Lord and Master Huang Long.

Previously, Master Huang Long didn’t even have a workplace!

Meanwhile, Hao Tian dispatched a special envoy to monitor the proceedings. As expected, the envoy turned out to be Gold Star Taibai; not that there were no other candidates, but Taibai proved to be the best option.

Accompanied by Gold Star Taibai, Nezha returned to the Primordial Era while the Star Gods hid within the clouds. Wudang Saint Mother personally led a thousand Jie Sect Immortals to join forces, while the Dragon Clan sent Fu Xi and ten thousand shrimp and crab soldiers to assist.

Both sides readily signaled their cooperation, agreeing to act under Nezha’s instructions entirely.

Using his spatial abilities, Nezha repeatedly coordinated back and forth. Together with Yunxiao, and armed with the River Map and Luo Book, they calculated for three days and three nights. Nezha’s head nearly smoked from strain before arriving at a feasible solution—formation arrays.

The first problem was surmounting the endless, tempestuous ocean waters obstructing the Three Immortals Island’s return to the Primordial Era. This required collaboration from Jie Sect’s immortals and the Dragon Clan recruited by Nezha.

The second issue was elevating the Three Immortals Island out of the Returning Ruins abyss.

The ideal solution would have been borrowing the Tai Chi Diagram from Saint Taiqing. After all, this supreme treasure could haul even a Chaos Demon God, much less the island. Yet, the Saint’s karmic consequences were too overwhelming; none present dared shoulder them.

Thus, a secondary approach was adopted, involving Yunxiao constructing an array beneath the island to provide upward thrust, while Nezha and the Star Gods deployed arrays above for pulling forces, merging efforts to drag the island out.

After three months of preparation, coupled with Jie Sect’s advanced array technologies, several formation arrays were finally improved upon, initiating the Three Immortals Island’s return to the Primordial Era!

Nezha stood directly above the Returning Ruins, gazing at the boundless sea clans surrounding the abyss. It stirred his emotions; the originally planned ten thousand aquatic beings were far from enough to block the Returning Ruins’ ocean currents, prompting the number to swell to fifty thousand.

Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Nezha raised both hands. The Sun Gold Wheel and Moon Golden Wheel ascended slowly—one radiating blazing golden light, the other emitting cool azure brilliance.

With mana infused, the powers of the Sun Star and Taiyin Star were cast across the void. The two supreme treasures transformed into virtual shadows of the sun and moon, emitting dazzling brilliance that illuminated the world.

This wondrous sight of sun and moon rising over the East Sea unfolded before all Primordial beings.

The Jie Sect disciples and Dragon Clan disciples surrounding the Returning Ruins received the signal and immediately activated the arrays. Seventy thousand aquatic soldiers aligned with 1,000 Jie Sect immortals as nodes, organized under Wudang and Fu Xi, forming a unified structure.

A vast, sapphire-blue light wall gradually materialized, isolating the torrenting waters above the Returning Ruins.

The Taiyin and Sun hovered high above the abyss. Across the skies, countless stars appeared, as Nezha unrolled a diagram and channeled the False Dao into its core. A weakened replica of the Tai Chi Diagram slowly emerged in his hands.

Nezha exerted tremendous effort, synchronizing the shadowy yin fish and yang fish with the Taiyin Star and Sun Star above. They began to rotate slowly, dividing the heavens into yin and yang. The trio of light sources—sun, moon, and stars—beamed directly beneath the Returning Ruins, morphing into an overwhelming force of gravity.

...

Beneath the Returning Ruins, Yunxiao, clad in her azure-golden Emperor Robe, wielded the Chi Xiao Sword in one hand and the Chaos Origin Golden Bowl in the other, standing atop the Qingyang Fusang Tree. Around her, the remnants of over forty thousand ancient immortals from the Three Immortals Island manifested like echoes of the past.

She tilted her head to the heavens and finally caught sight of something long-awaited—the starlight of the Primordial Era!

After countless Yuan Hui trapped in the pitch-black abyss of the Returning Ruins, the Three Immortals Island was finally under the radiance of Primordial starlight again. Mortal beings, constrained by their limited lifespans, remained ignorant; yet the thousands of immortal remnants recognized it instantly as the light of home!

The previously lifeless faces of tens of thousands of immortals began to stir with inexplicable emotions under the celestial illumination.

"Is this the starlight of the Primordial Era? Are we finally going home!"

"It must be; there are no stars beneath this colossal abyss."

"We’re going home—returning home at last!"

Yunxiao raised her Chi Xiao Sword high. Crimson light shot to the heavens and pierced the earth.

"Initiate the array!"

No Brainer and Unhappy stood behind her, their usual jesting nowhere to be seen. They hastily poured their mana into the Chaos Origin Golden Bowl. Of course, Yunxiao, a Quasi-Saint, bore the brunt of the effort.

Golden sands danced in the air, connecting with prearranged nodes across the island. A colossal Nine Curves Yellow River Formation began to coalesce, with the Chaos Origin Golden Bowl acting as its core.

Nine monumental yellow-sand dragons spiraled skyward, diving beneath the island to begin lifting the Three Immortals Island upward.

"Elder Sister, let me assist you!"

Zhao Gongming bellowed, using twenty-four Ocean Stabilizing Divine Pearls to balance the uneven forces causing the island to tremble and tilt. Channeling his mana to its peak, a gale surged around him.

A flowing yellow-sand barrier enveloped the island’s perimeter.

With the combined forces of upward thrust below and pulling forces above, the Three Immortals Island finally began to ascend!

The process was arduous, with Yunxiao below, Nezha above, and over three thousand Star Gods struggling against mounting resistance. The island, as a blessed heavenly realm, exceeded Nezha’s initial calculations in density. However, halting progress was no longer an option.

If the rising island were to fall, countless beings within its bounds would face untold casualties.
