There weren’t many people at the racing track, except for the staff, there was only one car on the track, constantly roaring.

The sun was blazing, it was at its hottest.

Gu Yanjing walked toward the stands of the racing track.

He was dressed in a white shirt, a jacket draped over his arm, and his tie was removed and placed in the jacket pocket.

His posture was upright, with long legs and steady steps. His skin glowed almost reflectively under the sunlight. His features were delicate yet sharp, exuding a noble and ethereal aura.

Upon reaching the VIP section of the stands, he pushed the door open, walked in, and saw the two people inside.

One was sitting by a table brewing tea, the other was leaning over the balcony watching the car on the track below.

"Beautiful!" The man leaning over the balcony couldn’t help but clap, "That drift around the corner just now was amazing! Wow, it was awesome. Old Chu, come and see, it’s too wonderful, you..."

As he said this, he turned around to look at the person sitting at the table, and then locked eyes with Gu Yanjing as he approached.

His heart tightened suddenly, and after two seconds he clutched his chest, "Jeez, Yanjing, can’t you make a sound when you walk? Scared me to death."

The person sitting by the table followed his gaze, and upon seeing Gu Yanjing, smiled gently, "You arrived?"

Gu Yanjing didn’t speak, placed the jacket on a chair, and sat by the table.

Both were childhood friends of his, the three grew up together.

The one sitting by the table was called Chu Zhengran, and the one standing by the balcony was Lin Huai Shu.

This racing track belonged to Lin Huai Shu.

The three of them had some business to discuss, so they specifically chose Saturday when everyone was free, and also to gather for a bit.

Gu Yanjing had a lunch meeting, so he arrived a bit late.

Chu Zhengran poured him a cup of tea, and said warmly, "Found this here, smells decent."

Gu Yanjing watched the steam rising from the tea, didn’t drink it immediately, and turned his gaze toward Lin Huai Shu who was looking down from the balcony again.

If this racing track wasn’t Lin Huai Shu’s, they wouldn’t have gotten in today.

Gu Yanjing ignored them.

"See, see, see." Lin Huai Shu noticed his tea had cooled, walked over, picked it up, and drank it, "I told you, you don’t get it."

Gu Yanjing watched him put the tea cup back by his side expressionlessly and moved it away.

Lin Huai Shu didn’t mind, pulled up a chair, and sat by him, "Yanjing, I’m going to be off the singles list soon. By then, you’ll be the only one left alone. Just think, lonely nights, lonely you. A cold, lonely room without a beauty."

Gu Yanjing gave him a glance, too lazy to respond.

Chu Zhengran took a new tea cup and poured another cup for Gu Yanjing.
