The Hunter’s Lively Wife -
Chapter 856 - Chapter 856 Chapter 856 Dont Mind the Dirt
Chapter 856: Chapter 856: Don’t Mind the Dirt Chapter 856: Chapter 856: Don’t Mind the Dirt The dishes and mixed noodles tonight were delicious, and it was the first time eating them, Gu Ya constantly praised his young wife’s cold dishes and mixed noodles. He was especially fond of the mixed noodles she made.
Gu Ya particularly liked them.
The fragrant and spicy mixed noodles went down.
They were so spicy that one would sweat profusely.
And it was incredibly satisfying.
Su Yunjin mixed half a pot of noodles. Not wanting to eat too much at night, she had just one bowl, and Gu Ya ate all the rest, leaving none behind.
Su Yunjin had made pork bone soup.
Both the mixed noodles and cold dishes were on the spicy side.
After having the noodles and dishes, Su Yunjin drank a bowl of pork bone soup to ease the spiciness. She poured herself a bowl of soup and also served a bowl for Gu Ya.
After eating their fill.
Su Yunjin, as usual, wiped the table and washed the dishes, while Gu Ya sat to the side, as he always did, waiting for his young wife to finish cleaning up so they could head back to their room and rest.
Suddenly, he noticed something off about his young wife’s walk, and Gu Ya hurriedly got up and approached her.
“Yunin, what’s wrong with your foot?” Earlier in the day, when they were catching a thief, Su Yunjin had taken a fall, scraping the palms of both hands and twisting her ankle.
When Gu Ya saw it, Su Yunjin didn’t keep it a secret, “I fell during the day.” As she spoke, Gu Ya had already squatted down, lifted his young wife’s skirt to inspect her injury, and rolled up the leg of her pants, exposing her fair ankle. It was noticeably red and swollen, highlighting the paleness of her skin.
The affected area was particularly conspicuous in its redness. Seeing his young wife injured, Gu Ya frowned, but without another word, he picked her up and carried her toward their room.
Su Yunjin didn’t understand what Gu Ya was doing.
She hurriedly asked him to put her down, “Husband, what are you doing? Put me down.” Su Yunjin squirmed, trying to get out of Gu Ya’s arms.
However, Gu Ya didn’t give Su Yunjin the opportunity to escape.
“Yunin, don’t move, your foot is injured. I’ll carry you back to the room,” he said. Seeing the red, swollen ankle, Gu Ya planned to carry his young wife back immediately to apply medicine to her foot.
Su Yunjin knew medicine herself and understood that the redness on her foot was not a serious issue. Such a minor injury would probably be fine after resting for a couple of days.
It was just like the abrasions on her hands. Su Yunjin wasn’t a woman to make a fuss about a small injury, and she didn’t take it to heart at all.
Gu Ya, however, seemed to take it very seriously. After he carried Su Yunjin back to their room, he gently set his young wife on the bed and told her not to move.
“Yunin, I’m going to check your wound again. Stay still.” Gu Ya had only taken a cursory look earlier, and now he wanted to examine his young wife’s injury carefully.
Su Yunjin sat on the bed obediently without moving.
First, Gu Ya took off his young wife’s shoes, then removed her silk stockings, and bent down to inspect Su Yunjin’s foot injury. Su Yunjin hadn’t bathed or washed her feet that day.
Gu Ya leaned in close to look at her foot, not minding at all, while Su Yunjin herself felt embarrassed, shrinking her feet back. She tentatively asked Gu Ya, “Husband, aren’t you disgusted?”
If it had been anyone else.
Gu Ya certainly would have minded.
But when it came to his young wife.
It was different.
His young wife was Gu Ya’s woman.
He would never find any part of his young wife repulsive.
Nor would he ever feel disgusted.
