Chapter 726: Chapter 726 Never Let Off Lightly Chapter 726: Chapter 726 Never Let Off Lightly Fan Wenxuan was thrown into prison.
The matter of the smashed fruit wine was also completely resolved, and Su Yunjin, besides the joy of teaching the scumbag a lesson, was happy about the money she made. She earned over a thousand taels of silver in just one day, which was indeed a significant amount. Worried about losing the silver notes, Su Yunjin carefully tucked them close to her body.
“Yunjin, I have to go out for a bit. You’ve been tired all day, so after you eat dinner tonight, rest early. There’s no need to wait for me.” Although Fan Wenxuan had been thrown into prison, the matter was far from over.
Fan Wenxuan had tried to frame his young wife several times.
This time, Gu Ya definitely would not let him off easily!
Subconsciously grabbing Gu Ya’s hand, Su Yunjin asked, “Husband, where are you going?” Gu Ya was not yet ready to tell his young wife about the Fan Wenxuan issue.
When his young wife asked, Gu Ya simply said he had something to take care of and left. Su Yunjin had no idea what Gu Ya was up to.
Having been busy all day with the fruit wine and Fan Wenxuan’s issue, Su Yunjin indeed felt tired. After Gu Ya left, she ate dinner by herself that evening.
She also left some food in the pot for Gu Ya.
Back in her room, Su Yunjin took out the two silver notes she earned today to look at them, one was worth a thousand taels and the other was fifty. Not bad, not bad. Adding these notes to the silver she originally had, Su Yunjin now had almost thirteen hundred taels of silver in hand. She had earned so much so quickly.
To tell the truth, it was beyond Su Yunjin’s expectations.
However, making silver was always a good thing, and holding the silver note made her quite cheerful. The fruit wine was so profitable that Su Yunjin envisioned the business once the shop opened.
She could already see more and more silver piling up before her and began planning for the future. Once she made more silver,
she planned to expand the small wine shop to a larger one and also buy a residence in the market for them to live in.
For Gu Ya and herself, a large residence wasn’t necessary, just enough to accommodate the two of them as a couple. Plus, land in this area was valuable. Su Yunjin thought if she had extra silver, she could buy several more acres of land in the village. With more land, she could grow things herself, as well as rent it out to others.
Collecting rent was the same,
bringing in a steady income every year.
Su Yunjin, while planning her business, even went to find some paper and a pen to write down what else was needed for opening the liquor store. When Gu Ya came back, Su Yunjin was writing down the required items for the shop on paper.
Getting things ready as soon as possible, she and Gu Ya’s shop could open at the beginning of next month. Seeing that Gu Ya had returned, Su Yunjin stood up to tell him.
“Husband, the food I saved for you is kept warm in the pot. Go and eat quickly.” Gu Ya glanced at what his young wife had just written on the table and casually asked, “Yunjin, what were you writing just now?”
Su Yunjin smiled,
“Nothing much. Just listing the things we need for our shop opening.” Gu Ya looked away, and his young wife pulled him toward the kitchen.
Su Yunjin served the food from the pot for Gu Ya: a bowl of rice, pork bone soup, stir-fried mushrooms with meat, and a plate of pickled cucumbers. The pickled cucumbers were a gift from Mrs. Chu when she came to see Su Yunjin, for both her and her husband, Gu Ya. Su Yunjin had tried them and found the pickles both sour and crunchy, a perfect complement to the meal.
To enhance their flavor, Su Yunjin had added chili oil and drizzled them with vinegar, making them an even better side dish for rice. After setting the table, Su Yunjin handed chopsticks to Gu Ya.
She then asked him, “Husband, what on earth were you out doing?”
