At night, Su Yunjin lay under the covers, feeling cold no matter how she positioned herself. Rubbing her hands together continuously, she breathed out warm air, and Gu Ya walked in from outside with a hot water bottle he had just borrowed from Auntie Song next door.

While filling the hot water bottle, Gu Ya said to his wife, "Yun’er, we didn’t prepare a hot water bottle at home. I borrowed one temporarily from Uncle Yu for today, and I will buy a few more from the town tomorrow."

The weather had suddenly turned cold.

It had only been a day, but Su Yunjin felt as though the temperature had suddenly dropped by more than ten degrees. It wasn’t so cold before, so Su Yunjin and Gu Ya hadn’t thought of preparing items like hot water bottles for warmth.

Su Yunjin brought over two blankets from the other rooms and still felt cold. She would need to buy two of those thick and warm blankets tomorrow to cover up with.

Additionally, clothes needed to be remade. Both her and Gu Ya’s clothes were not thick enough; with the weather turning this cold so abruptly, how could they not wear thicker clothes?

With this in mind, there seemed to be quite a lot to buy tomorrow.

Gu Ya filled the hot water bottle and walked over, handing it to his wife to warm her hands. Su Yunjin poked her head out from under the covers, and Gu Ya suddenly bent forward, his voice as tender as water, "Yun’er, are you still cold?" Lowering his head, Gu Ya’s lips accurately and lightly kissed the corner of Su Yunjin’s mouth.
