Chapter 1387: Chapter 1387: Relief

Su Xiaofu was just about to get up.

Unexpectedly, she found herself suddenly unable to move from head to toe.

Su Xiaofu’s eyes widened.

What’s going on?

What happened?

Why couldn’t she move her hands and feet at all?

Su Xiaofu tried to speak, but she couldn’t produce a single sound from her mouth. Scared to trembling, she had never encountered such a situation before.

It’s over!

Could it be that she was poisoned by Su Yunjin and the others? Otherwise, how could she be unable to move and speak now? Damn Su Yunjin, they’re the truly ruthless ones, surreptitiously poisoning her. Su Xiaofu cursed Su Yunjin in her heart.

But then, she seemed to notice someone standing in front of her. On reflex, she looked up to see a tall, cloaked figure with a mask. The man was armed with a sword, and his whole figure exuded a chilling aura. Especially his eyes—his gaze was like that of a predator, scaring Su Xiaofu to the bone.

Weakly staring at the masked figure, Su Xiaofu silently lamented, hoping that the masked person in front of her would leave soon. She had no beef with this black-cloaked person; he shouldn’t be looking for her.

The man, expressionless, looked at the trembling Su Xiaofu and tapped his sword against Su Yunjin’s neck. Suddenly, Su Xiaofu let out a sound.

She could speak! Su Xiaofu was both shocked and overjoyed. The man tapped her with his sword a second time, and Su Xiaofu, astonished, realized that not only could she speak but her whole body seemed to be able to move again.

"Okay, okay, I’m fine now, hahaha, it’s so great, I’m fine." Overjoyed, Su Xiaofu suddenly became aware of the stern-faced man still before her.

Tentatively, Su Xiaofu asked, "Who are you?" As she pondered the man’s identity, suddenly, a flash of white, and his sword was pointed straight at her neck, startling Su Xiaofu so much she almost wet herself, "Mercy, mercy, noble sir, please show mercy!"

Desperately pleading for her life, Su Xiaofu was truly afraid a stroke from his sword would spell her end. The dark figure watched her sobbing and pleading, his sword tip pressing slightly, breaking the skin on her neck and drawing blood. The pleading Su Xiaofu, instantly petrified, dared not beg further.

The man looked at Su Xiaofu, who was scared stiff, retracted his sword, and left a cold sentence behind before disappearing from her view.

"Remember this, if you dare to harm Miss Su again, my sword will not be so lenient!" The man’s voice was icy, causing Su Xiaofu to collapse on the ground, frightened out of her wits.

She angrily grabbed a bunch of grass near her feet.

Su Xiaofu never imagined the black-cloaked man was there to seek retribution for Su Yunjin.

Boarding the carriage, Su Ningxiu couldn’t help laughing again, "So satisfying, truly satisfying. Little sister, did you see it? Su Xiaofu’s little face was almost distorted with anger."

Of course, Su Yunjin had seen it.

Su Ningxiu reached out to grab Su Yunjin’s hand.

"Little sister, just now, your husband tripped Su Xiaofu with a stone, aptly giving her a taste of her own medicine." Su Xiaofu had previously tried to trip the little sister with a stone.

Just now, Su Xiaofu was tripped by Wang Meng.

Su Ningxiu felt endlessly gratified at the thought.

Wang Meng was sitting outside driving the carriage, and hearing the conversation between his wife and Su Yunjin inside, he couldn’t help but shake his head and smile.
