The Hunter’s Lively Wife
Chapter 1244: No Pinching

Chapter 1244: Chapter 1244: No Pinching

The little wife was rolling around on top of him.

Gu Ya found it somewhat amusing.

"Yunjin, why does it suddenly feel so unreal?" Gu Ya’s large hand rested on top of the little wife’s head, his tone gentle since the store was about to open.

The little wife had been quite excited.

Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya with a smile, "Husband, it feels like I’m dreaming!" From the time Zuixiang Restaurant burned down to now, with the restaurant reopening tomorrow.

Su Yunjin felt it all seemed a bit surreal.

Suddenly, her face was pinched by Gu Ya’s large hand, and Su Yunjin glared at him angrily, "Husband, why are you doing that?" She disliked Gu Ya pinching her face the most.

She wasn’t a child.

"Yunjin, you said it felt like you were dreaming, didn’t you?" Gu Ya’s eyes twinkled with a teasing smile.

So when Gu Ya just pinched her face, he was telling her that she wasn’t actually dreaming?

Su Yunjin fell silent.

Suddenly she didn’t want to talk.

She rolled off of Gu Ya’s body.

Su Yunjin lay there, ignoring Gu Ya.

Gu Ya called out to the little wife, "Yunjin?" Su Yunjin heard him but intentionally ignored Gu Ya. Pretending not to hear, Su Yunjin also turned her back on him.

Gu Ya knew the little wife was doing it on purpose.

So he called out again.

This time, Su Yunjin still didn’t respond to Gu Ya.

Gu Ya’s long arm stretched out, pulling Su Yunjin into his embrace, and kissed her little face, "Yunjin, are you angry now?" Gu Ya seemed to be smiling but not really.

Su Yunjin humphed.

"Sleep, let’s sleep." They had to get up early tomorrow! She wanted to go to sleep early tonight. Su Yunjin closed her eyes to sleep, and Gu Ya didn’t tease the little wife anymore.

With the store opening tomorrow, there was much to be busy with; it was good to let the little wife sleep. The husband and wife each went to sleep, enjoying a good night’s rest. In the morning, as Zuixiang Restaurant was about to open, Su Yunjin and Gu Ya, the couple, got up early. Driving the horse carriage, Gu Ya and Su Yunjin headed to Zuixiang Restaurant together.

Arriving early, the town was still quiet. Today, for the store opening, Su Yunjin and Gu Ya had specifically invited lion dancers to perform for a lively and festive atmosphere.

In addition, Gu Ya had also prepared firecrackers for the opening celebration; he had two strings of firecrackers ready. Once the auspicious time arrived, he would light the firecrackers and pull down the red cloth from Zuixiang Restaurant’s signboard, and that would officially mark the opening of their restaurant.

Today, as Zuixiang Restaurant opened, Gu Ya’s fifth brother and his wife, along with Su Yunjin’s second sister and others, came early to support Gu Ya and Su Yunjin.

Even Lord Gu Chengxiang, whose legs had just recently recovered, and the mother-in-law had come; the remaining children were left at home, as Mrs. An did not bring them.

Xiaoshan and Xiangxiang were still young, and with the restaurant opening expected to be crowded today, Mrs. An was afraid she couldn’t keep an eye on them all, so the children were slapped on the shoulders and told to stay at home.

She instructed the children to stay home and not to run around.

Only then did Mrs. An and Lord Gu Chengxiang leave the Gu Family house and come to town. Mrs. An and Lord Gu Chengxiang had come early in an ox cart, and seeing everyone turn up to show support made Su Yunjin even happier.

She smiled and greeted everyone; hearing it was the auspicious time, Su Yunjin hurriedly looked to Gu Ya, telling him to arrange for someone to light the firecrackers. Gu Ya handed the flint to a shop assistant.

The assistant hurriedly went to light the firecrackers.

Gu Ya stood with the little wife under the signboard of Zuixiang Restaurant, each holding a red ribbon, waiting to unveil the sign. As the fireworks were lit, they were ready to reveal the sign.

The shop assistant lit the fireworks and ran.

The crackling sounds started, and everyone covered their ears; Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya, the couple exchanged glances, then they pulled hard together.

The red cloth covering the signboard was unveiled.

Just at that moment, a noisy commotion suddenly came from up front.

"What’s happening? Why is it so noisy?" Su Yunjin asked Gu Ya with a puzzled face.
