Chapter 969: Chapter 969: Just Three Moments

"Don’t think about that now, have a bite to eat," Ya Molian offered the jerky in his hand to her.

If it were just him alone, staying here a few extra days wouldn’t have been much of a problem. However, now that Sang’er was by his side, his heart ached to have her share his hardships.

"Mm."

Lin Caisang took the jerky from him and took a deep bite.

"Mo... ah!"

Just as she was about to speak, suddenly, a familiar image flashed before her eyes, lasting only three seconds. It was so brief that she wondered if she had seen it wrong.

"Prince Mo, did you see it? Just now... was that Butler Xin?"

She seemed to have seen Butler Xin standing not far in front of them, staring intently in their direction, with a horse behind him grazing.

"It was Butler Xin."

Ya Molian nodded, the person just now was definitely Butler Xin.

"It really was Butler Xin!" Lin Caisang became excited.

If it truly was Butler Xin, then that place just now must be the real outside.

She closed her eyes, concentrating hard on recalling the fleeting scenery from just before. After a while, she opened her eyes, reached into her small shoulder bag for a piece of paper, and took out many colored pencils, placing them on the ground.

"Miss, I have a stone here that’s relatively flat,"

Jiang Li, seeing this, immediately brought over the stone he was sitting on, placing it in front of her.

Lin Caisang placed the rice paper on the stone and began to draw bit by bit the scene she had memorized in her mind. Meanwhile, Ya Molian was still there, eyes closed, envisioning the image he had seen.

The rest of the group also stopped eating and came over to watch Lin Caisang draw, fully aware of the urgency of the situation.

Whether they could escape this place or not depended on whether Ya Molian and Lin Caisang could recall the scene they had just witnessed.

...

Time ticked by, and after a while, Lin Caisang finished a drawing beneath her hand.

"Prince Mo, does it look like this?"

She handed the rice paper to Ya Molian and asked him.

Hearing her voice, Ya Molian opened his eyes and looked at the drawing before him. Then he remembered carefully and finally nodded.

"It is roughly like this."

"Knowing what it looks like outside is good," Lin Caisang sighed in relief.

"Miss, Prince Mo, did you just see it? Why didn’t we see anything?" Now that the drawing was finished, someone finally dared to speak up.

Upon hearing Lin Caisang’s exclamation earlier, everyone had turned to see what was happening but hadn’t seen the scene depicted on her drawing. Could it have been overlooked by them?

"The scene changed too quickly, probably only lasting the span of three instants," Lin Caisang explained.

"What?!"

The group was shocked.

Three instants of time implied that by the time everyone might notice an exit, they wouldn’t have had the chance to react before it disappeared.

Such rapid changes left them wondering how they would ever leave this cursed place.

"Three instants? Isn’t that too fast?"

Someone couldn’t help but swallow hard, feeling that they might not even have time to lift a foot before the exit vanished before their eyes.

Another person raised their hand to wipe their face, thinking that with such speed, they would surely die in this place.

"Maybe we can try. Those with better skills should be able to get out, right?" someone suggested, voicing their doubts. Even if not many could escape, it has to be better than everyone dying here, right?
