Chapter 946: Chapter 946: The Mute Eats Bitter Herbs
...
"Eat, this is tasty."
For a moment, the cave was filled with nothing but the sound of eating, as everyone hungrily devoured the dry food and beef jerky with gusto.
"Eldest Brother, Third Brother, I still have some water here, all for you."
The Sixth Prince handed over several water skins from his guard to the Eldest Prince and Third Prince inside the cave, along with what he had saved by scrimping and saving these past days with Ya Molian and her group.
He gave them every last bit without reservation.
"Sixth Brother, keep it. We don’t know when we can get out, so save everything we can," the Eldest Prince said gravely after glancing at what the Sixth Prince had in his hands.
Even though they were so hungry they were dizzy and desperate to eat whatever they could find.
But this was White Blind Mountain, and they were at the vortex’s core. Who knew when they would find a way out? If they feasted greedily today and finished all the provisions, how would they survive the coming days?
"Then I’ll keep it for now."
The Sixth Prince thought for a moment and nodded, then he gathered up the items once more.
Meanwhile, Lin Caisang watched Sui Zilin, who felt entitled to take food from Zhe Jue and others, stuff his mouth non-stop despite having eaten a lot already.
Comparing him to the three princes of the Luoyun Kingdom, they really weren’t on the same level.
"Zimo, water, give this prince water, and bring more meat over here, how is this little bit enough for anyone?" The disheveled Sui Zilin commanded Ya Molian imperiously.
Ya Molian simply glanced at him coldly, completely ignoring his words and the man himself.
"Zimo, this prince is talking to you, you..."
’Smack!’
Before he could finish, a hard knock landed on the back of his head.
"Who dares to strike this prince? Is that you again, you wretched girl, daring to hit this prince? Believe it or not, I’ll make sure you’ll regret it!" Sui Zilin turned around to find Lin Caisang standing behind him, radiating an aura of cold contempt.
When Zimo had first arrived, he had intended to convince them not to rescue anyone else and keep the food for himself.
But unexpectedly, this wretched girl had dared to oppose him and had given him a harsh dressing-down, which naturally he couldn’t accept. Yet he hadn’t expected Commander Mo, previously his most loyal ’dog’, to stand by her side and speak on her behalf.
Considering they were in White Blind Mountain and he needed them for his escape, he held back his anger momentarily.
But what was going on now? Was he not even allowed to ask for some food? What right did this wretched girl have to hit him? He was a prince and would eventually become the emperor of Wei State. How could he tolerate such humiliation?
"You think you can make me regret it? Hah."
Lin Caisang’s red lips curved into a mocking smile, as her alluring eyes sized up Sui Zilin.
"Commander Mo, I suddenly feel that taking so many people with us is quite the effort. Why not leave this foul-mouthed man behind? What do you think, hmm?"
She glanced at Commander Mo, inquiring.
"Uh."
At this moment, Commander Mo felt like he had taken a dose of coptis, bitterness he couldn’t express.
It was clear Lin Caisang was aligned with Prince Mo. If Lin Caisang really decided to leave Prince Lin in this forsaken place, what could he say?
