Chapter 941: Chapter 941: How to Explain to Someone?_1

...

After walking for a long time, the purple fog became thicker, almost directly before their eyes.

Looking at the distant scenery drenched in purple, nothing else was clear, even the people beside them seemed to be draped in purple garments.

Along the way, they encountered more and more people from various countries; all the food that should have been distributed had been handed out, and Zhe Jue and his group had only enough provisions for two more days.

"My lord, miss, we still have water, but there’s not much dry food left," said a voice in the night.

In the evening, by the fire, Zhe Jue reported today’s dry food inventory, and Jiang Zuo, who had just brought over an empty water bag, was there as well.

"Exactly, my lord, miss, distributing our existing food like this isn’t a solution. As more people arrive, our dry food keeps dwindling. Sooner or later, we’ll have none left," said someone else.

"It feels like the further up we go, the harder it becomes to walk. It may seem like we’re so close to the thickest part of the purple fog, but we just can’t reach the end," Zhen Wu added, joining the conversation.

Three days had passed since they dealt with those White Spiders, and despite walking consistently in one direction, they seemed unable to reach the vortex.

"This is the strangeness of White Blind Mountain," sighed Lin Caisang.

But if it was said that they could reach it, then they could indeed make it. After all, it was the realm of the Illusion Continent; for them, being without any magic power, moving slower was understandable.

"Well, if we can reach it, let’s not worry about taking a bit longer," she said.

"Can we really make it?" Zhe Jue was quite skeptical.

"Of course!" Lin Caisang declared confidently. Could her family’s talisman, the Golden Bead Command, be lying to her?

"Those of you who are injured, rest well. I’ll go nearby and see if I can find something to eat," she announced, then rose to her feet.

Zhe Jue was right; their supplies were indeed running low. If she didn’t get something out of the Golden Bead space soon, they’d all be hungry.

It certainly wasn’t as the Sixth Prince of Luoyun Kingdom had suggested before, to drink the juice of tender leaves, was it?

"I’ll come with you," Ya Molian stood up, joining her.

"Wait, Prince Mo, miss, I shall join you too..." began the Sixth Prince.

"Sixth Prince, you are a person of great value, a prince of Luoyun Kingdom. You should rest here. Leave the strenuous work to me; I’ll accompany our lord and the lady," suggested Jiang Zuo, pushing the prince back down as he tried to stand.

Then, watching his master and the lady being followed by an eagerly attentive Jiang Zuo, the Sixth Prince muttered to himself in a low voice.

"Does this mean Prince Mo isn’t a prince anymore?" Frustrated, he complained under his breath.

It’s not like he hadn’t known hardship before, right? He, too, had drunk leaf juice for many days atop White Blind Mountain, a flavor he remembered all too well!

...

Elsewhere, Jiang Zuo followed his liege and mistress to a stop in a distant area.

"My lady, this... how should I explain this to the others?" Jiang Zuo was suddenly at a loss for words at the sight of two oxen. If he’d known, he wouldn’t have volunteered so eagerly to come here – wouldn’t it have been better to send Zhe Jue?

"Just say you caught them in the mountains. Do I really need to teach you such a simple thing? You’re an adult; surely you can catch two oxen?" Lin Caisang gave him a disapproving look.

Jiang Zuo: "..."

My lady, given my skills, I can indeed catch two oxen, but...
