Chapter 877: Chapter 877: Lured Onto White Blind Mountain_1

"Did you ask him for the antidote?" Lin Caisang inquired.

This was the key issue; as for those other things, she genuinely had little interest in them. At most, they were just something to irritate the emperor slightly.

"I did, but I have to wait."

When the mention of the antidote came up, Ya Molian’s eyes dimmed a notch.

"Wait? Wait for what?"

Lin Caisang was puzzled. Wasn’t it the emperor himself who had poisoned him? So the antidote must be on his person, right? Why would there be any waiting?

Could it be that the emperor had hidden the antidote in a very secretive place, fearing that Ya Molian might send someone to follow him and then steal all of the antidote? At that point, wouldn’t he lose his control over Ya Molian?

But that didn’t make sense either.

Even if all the antidote were to be stolen, it was only meant to delay the effects of the poison, not the real cure. What good would it do?

"Brother Molian, I always feel there’s something very wrong with this matter," she said.

"You noticed it today, didn’t you? I made it clear that I could rescue Prince Lin from White Blind Mountain by myself; there was no need for you, Prince Mo, to go. But the emperor... he clearly intends for you to go to White Blind Mountain!"

"Hmm."

Ya Molian responded.

He naturally figured this out on his own.

Not just him — surely Suyang, as an observer, must also see this fact clearly, right?

"So the question arises, why must he insist on you going to White Blind Mountain? Or to put it another way, is there something alluring on White Blind Mountain that only you can obtain?"

Lin Caisang asked.

All of this seemed so abnormal; the emperor’s heart likely harbored an even deeper and more terrifying conspiracy, it was just that they didn’t know what it was yet.

"Perhaps, Prince Lin was lured to White Blind Mountain," Ya Molian said after a moment of silence.

"What?"

Lin Caisang was startled and instinctively wanted to object, but then felt that what Ya Molian had said hit right at the crux of her concerns.

"Why is he doing this? Just to get you to White Blind Mountain? What exactly is there on White Blind Mountain?"

The "someone" that Ya Molian mentioned was most likely the emperor, and if not the emperor himself, it must be somebody the emperor secretly instructed to lure Sui Zilin to White Blind Mountain.

But for what purpose...

To get Ya Molian to go to White Blind Mountain? What could be there that would make the emperor willing to sacrifice even his most beloved Prince Lin?!

"It seems this trip to White Blind Mountain is unavoidable," she said.

"Hmm."

Ya Molian responded.

"Sigh."

Lin Caisang let out a breath.

"Brother Molian, I’ve already given Jiang Zuo and Zhong You a list of things we need to prepare. They will take care of it. I have to head back now; the examination starts tomorrow, and I’m worried about leaving Brother Changfeng alone in Yejun," she said.

"Alright, be careful yourself too," Ya Molian nodded.

"There has been no mischief from the Zhou family recently, has there? If they dare to cause trouble, don’t bother being polite with them, just cripple them," he instructed.

The closer it got to the time, the more likely Zhou Liang, who shared the same competitive target as Lin Changfeng, would come up with some malicious schemes. Even if Zhou Liang didn’t have the brains, Madam Zhou would not simply sit back and do nothing.

Therefore, Sang’er would probably be busy on this front too.

"I have already crippled half of them. I’ll cripple the other half first thing tomorrow morning," Lin Caisang said.

If Madam Zhou wants to plot another scheme against her, she’ll have to see if she has the life to do so!
