Chapter 657: Chapter 657: Someone is Urging You to Go

"Someone would rescue those people anyway, it’s just..." Ya Molian paused and scoffed.

"What you want to say is, even if you don’t want to go, someone would force you to do it?" Lin Caisang surely understands their ulterior motives.

The appearance of a purple light on the mountain, let alone those with high authority and ever-present greed for fame and fortune, even she felt a touch of curiosity and wished she could see it.

"Exactly that," Ya Molian laughed.

"Go and rest for a while, I’ll finish up here quickly."

Lin Caisang: "..."

They’re discussing serious matters now, of which she already understood some, and her sleepiness had long since disappeared. How could she possibly sleep at this moment?

"Talk about your stuff, I’ll just listen," she said.

Hearing this, Ya Molian was taken aback, but quickly realized that he had stirred her curiosity.

"Then come over here."

He pulled Lin Caisang up from her chair and invited her to sit where he had just been.

"You guys continue, what’s the situation over there?"

"Master, now many people in the hall are very curious about the top of the White Blind Mountain. If it weren’t for our timely discovery, I’m afraid many people would have been fooled into going up the mountain. Fortunately, those who were secretly causing trouble in the hall have been caught by the master,"

the subordinate continued.

"But as for the top of the White Blind Mountain, has the master decided not to go?"

"Why should I go?" Ya Molian coldly scoffed, questioning him.

They want him to go, and he has to? If the top of the White Blind Mountain were easy to visit, why wouldn’t they go themselves? Such an opportunity would fall on someone despicable like him?

It was ridiculous.

"So, someone has already urged you to go?" Lin Caisang asked with a smile.

"The Third Prince of the Wei State, Sui Zilin, along with others, went to the White Blind Mountain and disappeared. Naturally, they are hoping that someone will go to the mountain top and bring back the missing people."

Ya Molian explained, a thin, icy smile adorning his lips.

"So, they are too afraid to go themselves, and have decided to send you instead?" Lin Caisang asked.

"In their eyes, I’m someone who’s meant to die. Any suicidal tasks naturally fall on me," Ya Molian scoffed.

"Makes sense."

Lin Caisang raised her eyebrows and nodded.

"If they send you off, and you die on White Blind Mountain, they lose nothing. In the worst case, they would just send someone else to rescue the Third Prince. The Nine Lotus Hall is already well established now, all they need is a few capable people to take over.

"And in the worst-case scenario, if you go, manage to rescue the Third Prince, and come back, then you can resume your original position and continue to work for them. They suffer no losses at all. After all, they think they can still control you."

Ya Molian sneered.

These people think too highly of themselves. Do they really consider him so naive? Did they really think the expansion of the Nine Lotus Hall over the years was due to their support alone?

"Just one thing, they never consider. If they send you to rescue the Third Prince and the unlucky Prince ends up killed by your ill-fated aura, it would be utterly tragic."

Just as Ya Molian was contemplating that he would not be going, he heard Lin Caisang with a faint, gloomy utterance.
