Yang Lin had just begun showing her pregnancy. Although she could walk about fine, her previous altercation with Lin Caihe had taken a toll on her health. Lin Caisang was aware of this when she felt her pulse. But, to ensure that the family didn’t worry, and also to prevent Yang Lin from further stressing and straining her body, she didn’t mention it.

Now, keeping a few piglets at home lightened Yang Lin’s mood, and Lin Caisang was relieved.

“Third Aunt, once my shop is open in a few days, I’ll ask Third Uncle to bring you along for a visit.”

“Alright, alright. I will certainly have a good look around then,” Yang Lin replied, chuckling and nodding.

“Sangsang, are you only planning on taking your Third Uncle and Third Aunt with you?” said Lin Laogeng while pulling a straight face, acting stern after hearing his granddaughter’s plan.

“Of course, Grandpa is going to be there too. You’re the most important person in our family. How could we not have you witness the moment when your granddaughter accomplishes something so big? Right?”

Lin Caisang swiftly moved towards Lin Laogeng, massaging his shoulders softly, lightly coaxing him.

“Alright now, stop worrying. Grandpa was just teasing you,” Lin Laogeng said, chuckling and patting her hand resting on his shoulder.

“You must be quite exhausted after running around outside these past few days. Sit down and rest.”

Lin Caisang nodded, went back to her seat and took a rest.

Lu Qiubo cooked a massive feast that night, with chicken, fish, and pork as well as several vegetables with pork shreds. Everyone enjoyed the sumptuous dinner. After dinner, Lin Caisang was sent off to bed by her grandparents immediately after washing up.

Ya Molian was aware that she was tired from these past few days, giving her space to rest properly.

However, the person who should have been resting was actually inside the pasture space. She held up a pen in her hand, whittling it with the previously gifted dagger from Ya Molian. Afterward, she picked up a stack of paper from the table and started sketching.

The next morning, she opened her room door to see what was happening. A large chicken leg flew towards her face immediately.

“What is this?”

Aghast, she quickly dodged to the side looking back at the entrance, realizing it was her elder brother holding a chicken leg and laughing at her.

“Sangsang, here, try some of the roast chicken I just made. This leg is for you. There’s more after you finish,” he said.

She had just woken up, her face unwashed, teeth unbrushed, and now she was being asked to eat a chicken leg!

“Brother, I want to wash up,” she said to Lin Changhong tersely.

“Then, you better hurry. It’s no good once the chicken leg cools, but luckily the weather isn’t too cold. It should still taste decent,” Lin Changhong urged in response.

“You can let Changyi and the others eat. I’ve eaten chicken in the county before and even ate some last night. Right now, all I want is some cornbread,” said Lin Caisang.

She had caved in to her Granny last night, drinking two bowls of chicken soup with meat. The trouble was, if she hadn’t drank it all, her Granny’s eyes would have pierced right through her, prohibiting her from even attempting any sneaky maneuvers.

“Where’s the nutrition in cornbread? This chicken leg is much more appetizing,” Lin Changhong frowned.
