Chapter 2311: Chapter 2311: Carrying an Unfortunate Fetus...

Judging by their clothes, they must be from the City Lord’s Mansion. But since when do people from the City Lord’s Mansion come out to attract guests?

"No, we’ve already registered." Lin Caisang smiled at him as she replied.

"Already registered?"

The man was visibly surprised by her words.

Already registered? Did they register here?

Impossible, right?

He had been here the whole time, managing registration from morning till night every day without leaving for a second. If these two had registered, he should definitely remember them.

After all, the woman in front of him was a pregnant lady, and she carried a faint medicinal fragrance—a clear mark of an alchemist.

And the man next to her...

Even if he couldn’t discern what skills the man had, if his wife had registered, wouldn’t he have also signed up as well?

After all, what man would let his pregnant wife venture into the vast forest alone? He would definitely accompany her, right?

But such a pair—he was certain he had never seen them before.

"Mm, we registered. A friend from home helped us register." Lin Caisang explained.

"Oh, I see."

Hearing her, the man finally understood.

A family member registering on their behalf? Could it be because the husband couldn’t bear to see his wife suffer and didn’t want her to go, but their family secretly signed her up to force her into it?

If that were true, it would really be inhumane.

"Then, why have you come here today?"

Could they be here to cancel their registration and ask for a refund?

"Just looking around," Sui Zimo replied curtly with four simple words.

The man: "..."

How indifferent could they be? Didn’t they realize he was the one in charge of registrations here?

Looking at the crowds of people around, so many wished to curry favor with him, but he gave them no chance. This couple, however, was treating him with such indifference!

"Alright, take your time, but there’s a lot of people here. Madam, be careful."

He smiled, gave Lin Caisang a word of caution, and then turned and left without saying more.

Lin Caisang glanced sideways at her husband and shrugged.

How strange. Why had that man come to talk to them out of nowhere? Were they really that eye-catching?

"There’s nothing much worth seeing here. Why don’t we head back and explore somewhere else?" Sui Zimo suggested.

There were just too many people here; this place was no longer suitable for his wife to stay. It would be better to find somewhere quieter.

"Alright."

Lin Caisang nodded.

"Let’s head back. There might already be someone waiting for us."

...

The two turned back and headed in the direction of the inn.

But before they reached it, they bumped into Chushui on his way out.

"Chushui, why are you out? Weren’t you planning to train?" Lin Caisang asked, raising an eyebrow at the person walking toward them.

"I ran into someone. They paid me a hefty amount of crystal stones, so I let them take my room. I’m planning to crash over at Zhe Jue’s place for now and squeeze in with them," Yue Chushui said to them.

"Sister Sangsang, that lady seems to be here to see you." He added.

Hearing this, Lin Caisang glanced at her husband and raised an eyebrow.

What was going on? She wasn’t even there, yet this person had directly requested the room next to hers and moved in?

Could it be that the baby in her womb wasn’t... normal?

Ugh, she knew she shouldn’t think that way, but she just couldn’t help herself!
