Chapter 2281: Chapter 2281: It’s a Pity to Kill Him
Thinking about it, he shook his head, truly convinced that person was too formidable.
If it weren’t for Yin Lvqing being equally cunning and slowly uncovering that person’s identity over so many years, they would still be entirely in the dark.
"The human heart, the most unpredictable thing of all."
Lin Caisang reached out, laying her palm on the back of Sui Zimo’s hand.
"Zimo, what should we do next? Head straight to Sky City?" she asked.
Originally, she thought there was still room for maneuver when it came to dealing with Yin Lvqing.
But now that Sui Zimo’s identity had been revealed, and it turned out to lead to Sky City,
perhaps the time had come for them to set out for Sky City as well?
"Are you planning to leave?"
Prince Niu overheard Lin Caisang’s words and immediately made a guess, asking aloud.
Given how clear Sui Zimo’s identity had become, it was natural to expect they wouldn’t stay in Ziyan Kingdom any longer—it was to be expected.
However, the purple energy orb on his son’s body was still unresolved.
If they left, what would happen to Baiqing?
"We’ll take Baiqing with us. Once we’ve thoroughly handled the issue of his purple energy orb, we’ll send him back." Sui Zimo naturally understood Prince Niu’s concerns and addressed them directly.
Hearing this, Prince Niu’s lips twitched almost imperceptibly.
He suspected that if Baiqing went with Sui Zimo and the others, he might lose any inclination to return.
After all, in recent days, with everyone so preoccupied with their own tasks, Baiqing had been staying with his mother in her quarters and hadn’t interacted much with Sui Zimo and the others.
But whenever Prince Niu went to visit the princess consort’s residence, his son would pester him endlessly, asking about Sui Zimo and the others—he’d been nearly interrogated to exhaustion.
Given this, if his son followed Sui Zimo and the rest, would he still remember that a pair of elderly parents were waiting for him to come home?
"If that’s the case, I’ll leave him in your hands."
Then again, his son was grown. As parents, they could hardly make all the decisions for him, could they?
Letting him venture out into the world was not necessarily a bad thing—it was far better than being confined to the home, bound by family ties, accomplishing nothing of consequence.
"Prince Niu, rest assured. Zimo and I regard Baiqing as our own younger brother and will certainly take good care of him," Lin Caisang added.
"Alright."
Prince Niu didn’t say much more, only giving a soft acknowledgment.
"What about Yin Lvqing, then? How do you plan to deal with him?"
He asked.
Frankly, if it were up to him, Yin Lvqing deserved nothing less than death by a thousand cuts—even as Yin Lvqing’s own flesh-and-blood brother, he felt the man’s crimes were wholly unforgivable.
And yet, even Prince Niu couldn’t deny that there were still many secrets buried within Yin Lvqing, things they hadn’t uncovered. Leaving him alive might prove useful in the future.
Killing him would be a pity.
"Naturally, we will keep him alive for now. He’ll come in handy eventually," Lin Caisang replied.
"Prince Niu, what about Emperor Ziyan? What do you intend to do about him?" She asked.
Surely, Emperor Ziyan must have heard of the escaped former empress by now, no? Who knows what is going through his mind at this moment?
Prince Niu: "..."
As for Yin Lvqing, he held no particular opinion.
But Emperor Ziyan—that was his emperor, his father—could he really talk about striking or killing him so casually?
"I plan to spend a few years consolidating Ziyan Kingdom’s armed forces under my own control. What do you all think?" he asked.
"That sounds like a decent strategy," Lin Caisang nodded.
One shouldn’t fight an unprepared war. The current Ziyan Kingdom remained firmly under Emperor Ziyan’s control.
