Chapter 1973: Chapter 1973: He Can Cultivate Spirits?!
"What are you talking about, child? I just wanted to ask you, where is Hao’er? Didn’t you bring Hao’er with you when you came over?"
Her eyes rolled around twice, finally coming up with an excuse to address Yue Tianze.
Seeing that his mother had already put it this way, Yue Tianze felt embarrassed to expose her, so he just nodded his head toward another direction.
"Hao’er is over there, he said he was hungry and went to eat something before coming over."
Mianyi followed the direction Yue Tianze had nodded toward and indeed saw her younger son there, a servant holding several plates, eating. Her face suddenly flushed with heat, embarrassed.
"Ah."
Old Madam Yue looked at Mianyi, sighed softly, and then turned to the clan elders.
"Second, where did we leave off just now? Oh, the Jin Family’s forest is open, isn’t it?"
This daughter-in-law of hers, she really never took to her, but her foolish son ignored her favored Luo Qiuyi and insisted on fancying this home-wrecker. What could she do?
It was also her fault for not being vigilant at the time, allowing Mianyi a chance to take advantage.
Now it was too late to say anything.
"Yes, the Hundred Medicines Shop is open. The head of the Jin Family had contacted several major clans earlier, thinking about letting the children of the clans go there for some experience, and he just informed me," the Great Clan Elder told Old Madam Yue, then glanced at Yue Chong, who had just walked up to them.
He sighed softly, feeling that Yue Chong, as the patriarch, really had no equal. When the Jin Family’s head contacted the major families, he talked with the patriarchs of other families. But when it came to their family, he sought out him, the Great Clan Elder, and Old Madam Yue.
"That place is much better than the last place we went to with Yuzun Academy, Tianze. Last time you and your elder brother went, it was quite dangerous, wasn’t it?"
As he spoke, he looked toward Yue Tianze.
Yue Tianze was staring blankly at his mother when he heard the Great Clan Elder speak and quickly came to his senses, looking at him.
"It wasn’t dangerous; after all, I had my elder brother with me. He alone is worth several of me."
He said earnestly.
He muttered to himself, "I might not even measure up to my elder brother alone, it seems I must redouble my efforts to become stronger."
Upon hearing this, the Great Clan Elder, with a satisfied expression, raised his hand and patted Yue Chushui on the shoulder.
"Chushui being able to cultivate his spirit, that’s really great news, and a tremendous blessing for the Yue Family."
Meanwhile, Mianyi, angered by her son’s praise of Yue Chushui, was fuming when she suddenly heard the Great Clan Elder say Yue Chushui could cultivate his spirit, and was so shocked she nearly jumped up.
"What? He can cultivate his spirit?"
Shocked beyond measure, she lost all control and pointed at Yue Chushui, shouting.
"Sister-in-law Chong, it seems you’re not too happy to hear that Chushui can cultivate his spirit?" The second elder noticed Mianyi’s almost murderous glare at Yue Chushui and his face instantly became stern.
While the Great Clan Elder glanced sideways at Yue Tianze, thinking to himself: This child still knows what’s what.
After all, they had just heard about Yue Chushui’s ability to cultivate his spirit from Yue Tianze, who knew about it ever since they had gone out together to train.
It had been a past issue, yet Yue Tianze had told nothing to his mother, clearly sensing Mianyi’s hostility toward Yue Chushui.
That’s why he hadn’t spoken out.
