Chapter 1965: Chapter 1965: Well, Here It Comes
"Yes."
The nanny responded, turning around and heading out.
Shortly after, another nanny came in and bowed to Old Madam Yue.
"Old Madam, the Eldest Young Master sent someone to inquire if you had a good rest at noon, he would then bring his guest over to pay respects to you," she said.
Upon hearing this, Old Madam Yue raised her eyebrows, the irritation she felt towards her son finally dissipating.
"That guest is Chushui’s benefactor; without them, who knows where Chushui would be now." He might have turned into a handful of dust.
She didn’t voice the last ominous remark, simply standing up.
"Prepare the gifts; it is only right that I personally meet them. How could I let the benefactors of our Yue Family come to visit without me greeting them myself?"
The nanny looked at Old Madam Yue with some surprise, then nodded in agreement.
"Yes, Old Madam, I will arrange it immediately."
...
’Ding ding, ding ding ding.’
The bell outside the courtyard was rung, catching the attention of Yue Chushui who was discussing Illusion Continent with Lin Caisang and others. He turned his head towards the courtyard gate.
"Who could it be at this time?" he muttered to himself.
If it were a dinner invitation, it certainly wouldn’t be this early, but if someone is coming to visit, it must certainly be because of Sister Sangsang and the others.
Could it be his father and Luo Mianyi?
He shook his head, feeling that it was definitely not possible; those two would rather not see them if they could help it.
Then it might be...
Suddenly, a shock crossed his mind; he muttered internally, could it be what he was thinking?
With this thought, he hurriedly stood up, looking towards Zimo and Lin Caisang.
"Sister Sangsang, brother-in-law, it might be my grandmother coming over," he said.
"Hmm?"
Lin Caisang, who had been dozing off, uttered softly but soon woke up fully.
"Your grandmother, isn’t that Old Madam Yue?"
She blinked, standing up from her chair, then glanced at Zimo.
"Zimo."
"Don’t worry. Let it be if she has come," Zimo said nonchalantly, standing and pulling his wife into his arms.
"To Old Madam Yue, we are the benefactors who once saved Chushui. It’s natural she has her reasons for coming to visit us personally, and we... just need to go out and welcome her.
Old Madam Yue is good to Chushui, so she is like family to us, and there are not so many formalities among family," he added.
"That’s true."
Thus, Yue Chushui ... led Zimo and Lin Caisang to the courtyard and opened the gate.
Outside, Old Madam Yue stood there with the nanny’s accompaniment, smiling as soon as she saw her grandson.
"Grandmother, why have you come?"
Yue Chushui walked up to support Old Madam Yue, taking over from the nanny, and asked.
"I heard you had guests in your courtyard, and your father’s front yard was busy, so grandmother thought I’d come over to check, also because I missed you," Old Madam Yue said, patting the hand that Chushui used to support her arm.
Faced with the son who didn’t even care about his own mother, she couldn’t say much more, only trying to make her words sound nicer in front of the guests.
"This must be Old Madam Yue,"
Lin Caisang stepped forward, looking at Yue Chushui and his grandmother.
"Caisang greets you; we should have been the ones visiting you, so I truly apologize for troubling you to come here," she said courteously.
"Think nothing of it,"
Old Madam Yue looked at Lin Caisang, smiling pleasantly as she spoke.
