Chapter 1850: Chapter 1850: You Mustn’t Worship Us

"I..."

Mother Ya’s body slightly shivered, almost imperceptibly.

She had never imagined that Ya Molian could truly be so ruthless with them. She really just wanted to knock some silver out of Molian.

"This... I didn’t know, I just wanted to get some silver. I didn’t know it would turn into this mess."

She felt quite innocent, having not gotten ahold of any silver, but instead had gotten herself into trouble, even being unable to live in her own home and being driven out.

"Jin Lai, what exactly did you say to Zimo?"

Thinking this over, she turned to her daughter, asking shrilly.

"Nothing, I didn’t say anything."

When Ya Yinlai saw her mother pointing the finger at her, she became flustered and quickly shook her head.

"I just did what you told me, trying to get some silver from Brother Molian. But he wouldn’t even let me speak, he chased me out, what could I do? I was helpless."

If she had another chance, she would definitely not provoke Zimo again.

Now, in the eyes of her parents, she was the fool who had made them homeless, and from now on, she would have no standing in the family, not even as much as Ya Beilai.

"If you didn’t say anything, has Ya Molian gone mad to want to drive us out?" Ya Tu cursed bitterly at Ya Yinlai.

Thinking that merely cursing wasn’t satisfying enough, he lifted his foot and kicked Ya Yinlai several times. Ya Yinlai could only scream in pain, without any power to resist.

"Head of the household, stop kicking. We should think about what to do now," Mother Ya repeated her intervention to Ya Tu, questioning him.

They had been expelled from Ya Village, and they could only return after Zimo had left.

But they need a place to stay now, right?

They can’t possibly live out in the wilderness, can they?

"How would I know!"

Hearing this, Ya Tu became even more infuriated.

He had no idea where they would live. His wife’s parents had long passed away, leaving only her uncle, who would surely not welcome them to freeload.

"Do you have any ideas?" he asked his wife.

Mother Ya’s face contorted with indecision as she pondered the situation.

After quite a while, when she looked at her daughter Ya Yinlai, a gleam of insight suddenly lit up her eyes.

"Head of the household, why don’t we go to Jin Lai’s house?" she suggested.

"Jin Lai’s house?"

Ya Tu furrowed his brow and fell silent.

Back when that son-in-law had come proposing marriage, he wanted to marry Ya Yinlai, but she was unwilling, so it was switched to Ya Jinlai instead. Since then, he had not contacted his son-in-law’s family, and it had been more than two years. The son-in-law had also not visited even once.

Now, to shamelessly show up at his son-in-law’s house... how could he possibly do that? He would lose all his dignity.

"Yeah, go to Jin Lai’s house."

Mother Ya thought this was an excellent idea.

"We still have Yinlai, after all. Jin Lai originally wanted to marry Yinlai, so if we send her to him, he gets another bride just like that. Could he treat us badly? I bet they would take us in and provide for us."

"No, Mother, I don’t want to!"

Ya Yinlai, hearing her mother’s words, jumped with fright, her face turning even paler than before.

She didn’t want to marry that man at all. That man’s face was scarred with a large burn mark, extending down to his neck. It was as frightening as could be described.

Her future had to be one of good living. How could she marry such a man?
