Chapter 1845: Chapter 1845: Coming to Hug a Man Right Away?
"We’re almost home, we can talk about these things later."
Upon hearing her mention Lin Baizhong, Sui Zimo spoke to her.
"Alright."
Lin Caisang responded.
She didn’t want her mother to know that her father was currently missing.
...
Soon, the carriage arrived at Ya Village.
"They’re here, at last, they’re finally here."
Many people, seeing the carriage, came up to meet it, talking as they approached.
Lin Laogeng and Lu Qiubo, among others, watched as the carriage stopped not far in front of them, then, the curtain was lifted from the inside.
First, they saw their grandson leaping off the carriage, followed by Sui Zimo. As Lin Changhong turned around to help, he caught a glance from Sui Zimo and reluctantly stepped back.
"Brother Molian, be careful."
Lin Caisang cautioned from behind him, nervously watching him jump down from the carriage in front of her.
Although she knew that the wound on his chest had mostly healed, she still worried.
"Come on, Sang’er, come down."
After getting off the carriage, Sui Zimo turned around and extended his hand to help Lin Caisang down.
"Grandpa, Grandma, Mother, Third Uncle, Third Aunt, we’re back."
Lin Caisang looked toward her family at the entrance of the courtyard, called out to them with a beaming smile, and then was embraced and led into the yard.
"Sangsang dear, it’s been so long since you’ve been home. Grandma has missed you, and so has your mother. She’s been..."
"Brother Molian!"
Lu Qiubo’s conversation with his granddaughter wasn’t finished when they heard an exclamation from behind them.
Immediately after, before the people could react, they saw a figure charging at Sui Zimo, arms wide open to embrace him.
Lin Caisang instinctively raised her hand and released a surge of spiritual power.
"Ah!"
The figure was sent flying like a kite with its string cut, landing on the ground.
"What’s going on here?"
Everyone was confused by the situation.
"Who is this person? So shameless, wanting to hug a man as soon as they arrive? Let me see."
A woman walked over, muttering under her breath, and, reaching out, she turned the girl’s face by tilting her chin to get a good look.
"Well, if it isn’t Ya Tu’s Yinlai who has run over here!"
"What are you doing, get away from me!"
Ya Yinlai, having been thrown to the ground, felt pain all over, but there was no real injury; Lin Caisang had held back after all.
"Lin Caisang, by what right did you hit me?"
She sprang to her feet, wanting to confront Lin Caisang and return several slaps.
But before she could rush over, two nannies emerged and restrained her, holding her in place.
"By what right did I hit you?"
Lin Caisang’s gaze at Ya Yinlai was cold, as if she would have given anything to slap her once more.
"You trespass into my home, seeking to ruin the reputation of my fiancé. If I didn’t hit you, I’d be letting myself down!"
Just now, everyone had seen Ya Yinlai charge in and throw herself at Sui Zimo without saying a word.
If she had acted as if nothing happened, what would that make her? And what about Sui Zimo?
"What’s wrong with me hugging Brother Molian? He’s lived in my house since he was young, and I’ve hugged him plenty when he was a child. I was practically raised in Brother Molian’s embrace!"
Ya Yinlai glared at Lin Caisang, her eyes filled with jealous hatred.
If it weren’t for Lin Caisang appearing out of nowhere to interfere, Molian was supposed to marry her!
Now, Lin Caisang had taken all that should have been hers; did that mean just because Lin Caisang got the meat, she shouldn’t even be allowed a sip of the soup?
