Chapter 1776: Auction?

Chapter 1776: Chapter 1776: Auction?

"Hehe, hehe."

The waiter chuckled, then glanced toward the room behind Zhe Jue.

"Gentlemen, you rest first. If you want to ask anything, I can talk with you tomorrow morning. Also, you arrived just in time. Tomorrow, Wanling Agency is hosting an auction. You’re here for the auction, aren’t you?"

"An auction?"

Zhe Jue looked at him, puzzled.

However, he quickly coughed lightly and masked the confusion in his eyes.

"Ahem, yes, we’re here to take a look at the auction at Wanling Agency and, by the way, to inquire about the other agencies to see if we can get our hands on some good items."

He said to the waiter.

"Good items, well, they are mostly at Wanling Agency, although the other agencies have some too, but not much," the waiter responded.

"Hmm, I see, you may go now," Zhe Jue nodded, then turned and went back to his room.

Inside the room, Sui Zimo poured a cup of tea for Lin Caisang and handed it to her.

"Sang’er, what do you think?"

"I don’t think much of it, we still have to investigate," Lin Caisang took a deep breath and took the teacup.

"Why?"

Zhe Jue asked, looking at Lin Caisang.

"Miss Lin, I believe that Wanling Agency is the most likely, you didn’t hear what the waiter just said? He mentioned..."

"I heard him,"

Lin Caisang interrupted him and took a sip of tea.

"Tomorrow there’s an auction at Wanling Agency, and I suspect wherever in Yongxia City we might stay, they would introduce Wanling Agency. It’s their habit, and indeed, just by mentioning it, they earn some silver."

"Earn some silver?"

Zhe Jue raised an eyebrow, pondering, Could it be that Wanling Agency paid the waiters across the city to recommend their agency to visitors?

"Yes indeed,"

Lin Caisang nodded, looking at Zhe Jue.

"Didn’t you just give out a silver ingot?"

Zhe Jue: "..."

So it was about the silver ingot he had given?

"Then... sir, Miss Lin, how shall we investigate?" he asked.

"We’ll start with Wanling Agency, find out about the brokers there and see if any are willing to take risks with people heading to Lotus Commandery," instructed Lin Caisang after pondering.

"Brother Molian, do you think that will work?"

"Go and check."

Sui Zimo instructed Zhe Jue.

"Also, investigate the other agencies as well, with a focus on Wanling Agency."

"Yes, sir."

Zhe Jue complied and left.

Hearing Sui Zimo’s words, Lin Caisang sighed silently.

She was indeed still young and inexperienced, lacking the comprehensive thinking of her Brother Molian.

"Sighing? Are you hungry?" Sui Zimo asked her, looking concerned.

At this, Lin Caisang touched her stomach and chuckled up at him.

"Indeed, a bit."

"Let’s go to the Culinary Space; I’ll cook for you," Sui Zimo promptly offered.

"Oh,"

Lin Caisang nodded.

Since the Culinary Space opened, with a ready kitchen inside, she’d moved a lot of kitchenware and food in there.

So cooking there was possible.

Previously, with her own skills, if she had to cook in the Culinary Space, she thought she might as well go to Caique and have her prepare something.

But it’s different when her Brother Molian was there; his cooking suited her taste much better than Caique’s.

...

A while later, they were in the kitchen of the Culinary Space, Lin Caisang sat watching Sui Zimo bustling around.
