Chapter 1694: Chapter 1694: Such a Restless Mind
Sui Zimo shook his head and raised his hand to lightly pat her cheek.
"If you’re bored, I can keep you company while you paint for a while, how about that?"
"Alright."
Lin Caisang immediately nodded her agreement.
Three days had passed since then, and it was finally the day that Caique anticipated.
However, the Golden Bead Space was still the same one she couldn’t escape from, and she and Sui Zimo were still trapped inside.
At first, she wanted to copy down the jade book so she could teach it to her elder brother, as well as others.
But Caique vetoed the idea, saying that even copying a single character could potentially increase her merit points, or something else, which might indefinitely prolong the unusual activity of the Golden Bead Space.
She was left speechless...
...
Inside Prince Yi’s Mansion.
Prince Yi had waited for two days, but still had not seen the return of the people he had sent out.
Although he had long since concluded that his subordinates must be gone, he still didn’t want to give up and felt that he could wait a little longer.
"My lord, what’s gotten into you lately? You’ve been so restless," remarked Princess Consort Yi, having noticed the change in Prince Yi’s demeanor. Why had he been so prone to daydreaming lately?
Hearing Princess Consort Yi’s words, Prince Yi gave her a cold glance.
Grimly clenching his teeth, he wondered what kind of existence Prince Mo’s Mansion was, since he had sent so many people there, and even the emperor had been used, yet he still hadn’t been able to bring Yin Baiqing back from Prince Mo’s Mansion.
Now he couldn’t help but speculate; could it be that Yin Baiqing wasn’t in Prince Mo’s Mansion at all?
No. That wasn’t right.
He shook his head, feeling that Yin Baiqing must still be in Prince Mo’s Mansion, it was just that Sui Zimo had hidden her too well, making it impossible for them to find her.
Perhaps, Yin Baiqing was locked away in some secret chamber within Prince Mo’s Mansion.
"Princess Consort, what special skills do you think Sui Zimo possesses to settle Wu’er down and keep her quiet and undisturbed?" he asked Princess Consort Yi.
"This..."
Princess Consort Yi was startled by his question.
How would she know what skills Sui Zimo had? When Yin Baiqing was first taken to Suyang’s residence, she constantly caused trouble, crying and making a fuss about wanting to return to Prince Yi’s Mansion.
But after she arrived at Prince Mo’s Mansion, there was no news of her whatsoever.
It wasn’t just news that was lacking; even the sound of Yin Baiqing’s disturbances did not emanate from Prince Mo’s Mansion. This was utterly abnormal!
"My lord, I suspect that Wu’er might have been sent out of the city," she said hesitantly, voicing her opinion.
"That’s impossible!"
Prince Yi immediately rejected her suggestion without a second thought.
"The most dangerous place is the safest; Sui Zimo would never allow Wu’er to be somewhere he couldn’t see or touch. She must still be within Prince Mo’s Mansion."
"If Wu’er is still inside Prince Mo’s Mansion, shouldn’t we have found her by now?" asked Princess Consort Yi.
Even if they hadn’t found her, there should have been some sort of clue by now, right?
But the reality was, there was no news at all; Yin Baiqing seemed to have vanished into thin air!
"How about we go plead with our master again, asking him to make another visit to Prince Mo’s Mansion?" she suggested.
At this, Prince Yi raised an eyebrow.
"Let this prince think about it," he said.
A master is a master, theirs, not one who is at their beck and call to do whatever they wish. How could they simply ask their master to do anything they wanted?
If they truly wished to persuade him, there had to be a reason.
But what reason could they possibly have that would compel the master to take action himself?
