Chapter 1688: Chapter 1688: Why Didn’t You Say Sooner!

Within the Golden Bead Space.

"It’s been twelve days already,"

Lin Caisang counted the days on her fingers, one finger at a time.

She and Sui Zimo had been confined in the Golden Bead Space for twelve days now, twelve whole days, not just twelve hours.

"The Jade Mirror did mention that spatial perturbations could last up to ten days to half a month, but I honestly didn’t expect it to be twelve whole days and we still couldn’t get out. Brother Molian, are you really not having any issues over there?"

"No issues."

Sui Zimo only replied with two words to her.

He couldn’t possibly say that he actually rather enjoyed being in the Golden Bead Space, in their private world with his Sang’er, right?

Of course, since they were in the Golden Bead Space, how could he know anything about what was happening outside? But then again, what did it have to do with him whatever happened outside!

"It’s good if there are no issues,"

Lin Caisang nodded again, which she had done countless times already.

"I asked the Jade Mirror again, but it still couldn’t provide any clear explanation, and I have no idea what the situation is,"

"Being within the Heart-linking Vein is actually okay," Sui Zimo commented.

He had always been inside the Heart-linking Vein and had never gone out because, according to Sang’er, every time he entered the Heart-linking Vein, it required merit points.

Naturally, it was better to go out less.

"Alright then."

Lin Caisang nodded once more.

Although it was boring, being with Sui Zimo at least made it not very boring, and they could also go into the pasture space to chat with Sui Ziyou, which was quite nice and leisurely.

"Are you still going to the waterfall?" she asked.

"Going..."

"What? You’re still practicing cultivation!" Caique, who had just brought over the two’s food, got so alarmed upon hearing their conversation that she almost dropped the large basket she was carrying.

"Why not?"

Lin Caisang asked Caique, intrigued by its odd behavior.

"If it was normal circumstances, it would be fine. You could do whatever you like, but this is a special situation, it’s different," Caique placed the basket down and watched as Lin Caisang brought out the food from within.

"You don’t know, a big part of the so-called Golden Bead anomaly is caused by the treasures within the Heart-linking Vein."

"What does that have to do with our practice?"

Sui Zimo asked.

"It’s not directly related," Caique thought for a moment before speaking up.

"But your practice can increase merit points, gratitude points, action points, these are crucial for the Golden Bead Space anomaly. If these keep increasing during the anomaly, the duration of the anomaly will inevitably get longer and longer... Ah!"

Before it could finish, it was smacked hard by a furious or perhaps excited Lin Caisang, and it’s bird body was sent flying.

"Why didn’t you say so earlier!"

"Master, you didn’t ask me,"

Caique replied innocently and flapped its wings as it flew back.

"You... No, that’s not right."

Lin Caisang shook her head and then shook it again.

"Didn’t you say that Brother Molian practicing near the waterfall wouldn’t increase ’action points’?"

There are only so many action points in total; even if the other scores were ’whooshing’ upwards, that would be useless, right?

"But you’ve been practicing cultivation too,"

Caique said with the utmost innocence.

"I’m not practicing by the waterfall though. Don’t tell me, no matter where I practice, it’s all the same as long as I’m within the Heart-linking Vein—I’d still get action points," Lin Caisang questioned.
