As those people thought about what they had consumed, the expressions on each of their faces became unsettled.

How could they possibly have eaten human flesh? Such a disgusting thing, just the thought of it made them feel like vomiting. That was their comrade, how could they possibly have...

"Is there anything strange about it?"

Lin Caisang, however, looked at them indifferently and let out a light laugh.

"How is it, you can eat the flesh of the Demon Clan, yet you dare not eat the flesh of the Human Clan? I thought for you all, eating any kind of flesh was just a dish, nothing serious at all."

"You... you all... you’re too terrifying, to actually let us eat... how could you come up with such an idea!"

Those people were shaking, not knowing if it was out of anger or fear, but they certainly looked uncomfortable. They wished they could slap themselves or rush forward to fight to the death.

"Why wouldn’t it occur to us, when previously you ate the Demon Clan’s flesh, didn’t you enjoy it just fine?" Sui Zimo looked at them indifferently and said.

"How could that be the same?!"

Someone, unable to bear thinking about what they had eaten previously, yelled out loud.

"How is it not the same?" Zimo retorted.

"Flesh is flesh, human flesh is human flesh, what’s the difference?"

"Of course..."

"Enough of that, you all."

Those people still wanted to speak but were interrupted by Lin Caisang.

"Do you really think of yourselves as some noble beings? Do you still have the face to question us? What you have done before, do you truly think no one will come to settle the score with you?

You’ve harmed so many of the Demon Clan, the bones in that cave have piled up into a mountain.

Now, you still show no remorse; it seems, we really shouldn’t have come here to save you. We should have let each and every one of you die silently, which would’ve brought peace to the Demon Clan for the future."

She felt that by saving these people, she had brought danger to the Demon Clan instead.

Because these people didn’t seem to feel at all that they had done anything wrong, instead, they felt that killing so many from the Demon Clan was deserved, that the Demon Clan deserved to die!

It was as if they were the noblest, as if whatever they did could never be wrong.

"Young lady, how can you be so venomous? There are so many of us, and you can actually speak of letting us die. At such a young age, how can your heart be so black?"

An elderly man looked at Lin Caisang with a face full of reproach and said.

"As members of the Human Clan, shouldn’t you be on our side? Instead, you stand with those evil beings of the Demon Clan? Do you truly wish to make enemies with the Human Clan?"

The way he spoke carried a threatening tone.

It was as if Lin Caisang and Sui Zimo, if they did not stand with them, were acting against all that was righteous and would no longer be able to find a place within the Human Clan.

This remark elicited a snort of derision from Lin Caisang.

"Make enemies with the Human Clan? Heh."

She raised her head, her gaze serious as she looked at the ridiculous people of the Human Clan before her.

"Rather, let’s take the matter of you folk in the county town killing and eating the flesh of the Demon Clan, and speak of it to the other people of the Human Clan outside. Let’s see if they think it’s us making enemies with the Human Clan, hmm?"

She asked.
