Chapter 1460: Chapter 1460: A Faint Instability Hidden Within
"Wasn’t it said that Zhong You had already learned the Madam’s golden needle therapy? So why didn’t it work?"
"Could it be because he hasn’t used it for too long and forgot how to do it?"
"That’s impossible, isn’t it?"
"Zhong You, get back here!"
Having Zhong Wan, that guy, in the room, their hearts could be somewhat at ease. What was he doing running outside?
He immediately chased after Zhong You as if the wind was at his heels, intent on dragging him back.
"Why are you running? His Highness is still lying inside... Miss Lin!"
Just as he reached the outside, he saw Lin Caisang hastening into the courtyard. His eyes lit up, and he almost knelt down in front of her on the spot.
"Miss Lin, you’ve finally returned. His Highness is..."
"Don’t talk yet, let me go inside and take a look."
Lin Caisang raised her hand to interrupt him and, without stopping for a moment, entered Sui Zimo’s room, followed by Zhe Jue and Zhong You.
"Everyone out, except for Zhe Jue and Zhong You."
Seeing so many people in the room, she slightly knitted her brows and told them to leave.
"Out, out, everyone out first."
Zhe Jue, without a second thought, waved his hand to clear everyone out of the room.
"Miss Lin, His Highness has been poisoned again, and it seems to be worse than ever before. Please treat him quickly; I think he cannot stand it anymore."
After clearing the room, he looked toward Lin Caisang, who had already sat on the edge of the bed to diagnose Sui Zimo’s pulse.
He had felt that something was wrong with his lord’s breath a while ago; it was faint, as if it could disappear at any moment. If it weren’t for Zhong You being in the room, he would have been scared out of his wits.
"Zhong You, describe the situation."
Lin Caisang continued to take Sui Zimo’s pulse while asking Zhong You.
"Master, after His Highness was poisoned, I already fed him an antidote to alleviate the effect of the poison. Moreover, I also applied acupuncture as you had taught before, but it was of no use. I’ve applied needles three times, and having no other choice, I sought your help."
Zhong You quickly summarized the rescue methods he had employed.
"Zhe Jue, you describe the situation." Lin Caisang then asked Zhe Jue.
"Miss Lin, His Highness was poisoned while pursuing those from the Illusion Continent. Several of us went with His Highness to chase them but were unharmed. The poison in His Highness’s body must have suddenly acted up."
Zhe Jue also spoke.
Hearing this, Lin Caisang let out a cold snort in her heart.
As if she would believe Zhe Jue’s words—the guy had been injured by Blackie and White and was suffering from both external injury and poisoning. Yet he had reemerged so quickly.
If this wasn’t a deliberate move against Brother Molian, how could she possibly believe it?
"I’ll give him acupuncture first to stabilize his breathing. Zhong You, take Zhe Jue’s pulse," Lin Caisang ordered.
Hearing her directive, Zhong You immediately handed the pack of silver needles to Lin Caisang.
"Master, the silver needles."
Lin Caisang took the pack of silver needles and immediately began to perform acupuncture on Sui Zimo. Her technique was entirely different from before, and she applied even more strength in her hands.
Behind her, Zhe Jue watched Zhong You with a dazed look in his eyes.
What had he just heard? The Madam asked Zhong You to take his pulse? He was perfectly healthy; why did he need his pulse taken?
But even as he thought this, he obediently extended his hand under Zhong You’s scrutiny and presented it to Zhong Wan.
A moment later, Lin Caisang, who was still administering acupuncture, asked Zhong You,
"How is it?"
"The pulse appears normal, but... Master, within Zhe Jue’s pulse there lies a subtle instability. If not for your reminder, I would never have noticed it," Zhong You relayed to Lin Caisang as he looked at Zhe Jue’s wrist.
