Chapter 1423: Chapter 1423: Beat you to death, you immortal monster!

But when she heard that they were going to confront Grand Old Master Chen, her fear suddenly subsided, and she wanted to witness his downfall with her own eyes. She thought that even if she were to die afterward, it would be a peaceful death, wouldn’t it?

...

Not long after, the door to the most splendid courtyard in the rear of the Chen Residence was forcefully pushed open by Ling’er.

"What are you doing? Who let you in?"

In the courtyard, two of Grand Old Master Chen’s most trusted servants, seeing intruders, immediately approached to drive them away.

"Get out! This is the Book Yard of the Old Master. Who gave you permission to enter? If the Old Master finds out, he will certainly not spare you. It would be wise to..." Ah!

Before they could finish speaking, they were struck by a whip, flung in opposite directions and crashing down heavily on the ground, emitting the same agonizing screams.

"So much useless talk. You’re the ones who should know better!"

Inside the room, hearing the commotion outside, Grand Old Master Chen, his mouth full of blood, raised his head with a malevolent glance toward the firmly shut door.

"Who’s there?"

His voice was completely different from before, sounding as old as a ghostly whisper.

’Bang—Crash, Boom!’

Following the sound of the door being kicked in was the noise of it falling to the ground.

As the dust was stirred up, he saw two figures appear before him—figures he knew all too well.

"It’s you!"

"That’s right, it’s us!"

Lin Caisang and Sui Zimo strode into the room together.

After waving her hand in front of her face to clear away the dust, Lin Caisang managed to get a clear look at the scene, which immediately disgusted her.

"Old demon, you truly are a person of heinous crimes!"

In Grand Old Master Chen’s hand was a servant whose neck was spewing blood with a hissing sound.

Fortunately, the servant was not dead yet. Seeing people come in, he managed to extend his hand toward Lin Caisang and Sui Zimo, pleading for help.

"Save me..."

"I’ll kill you, you old monster!"

Lin Caisang gritted her teeth as she lashed her Wind Spirit Whip toward Grand Old Master Chen.

Grand Old Master Chen’s eyes flashed fiercely, and he promptly threw the servant in his hand toward Lin Caisang. Lin Caisang, however, skillfully altered her grip on the Wind Spirit Whip, catching the thrown servant and whipping him out of the room.

"Brother Molian."

She looked up at Sui Zimo.

"Give me the Wind Spirit Whip, leave this to me," Sui Zimo said, casting her a glance.

"Okay."

Lin Caisang nodded and, without hesitation, handed the Wind Spirit Whip over to him. After he took it, she stepped out of the room.

Staying in the room would only get in the way of her Brother Molian, and right now, having the Wind Spirit Whip in her hands made no difference—it was better left to Brother Molian.

"Miss Lin..."

In the courtyard, Madam Chen, who had followed closely behind, saw Lin Caisang come out of the room and then saw the servant with a bloodied neck being thrown out, her heart thumping rapidly.

"What are you waiting for? Come help me move him to the side."

Lin Caisang glanced at Madam Chen and Ling’er, giving them instructions.

If they didn’t hurry to move him aside now, should fighting break out in the room, they wouldn’t be able to utilize their skills in there; it would need to happen in the courtyard instead.

She might not be able to assist Brother Molian, but she certainly shouldn’t cause him any trouble, right?

The two of them snapped to their senses, hurried over, and helped move the servant to one side.
