Chapter 1023: Chapter 1023: Decided to Keep the Person?
They wouldn’t even give him a house; they just kicked him right out of the village.
In Yang Village, there were some who wanted to speak up for Yang Wen, but they couldn’t stand up to the commotion caused by a few members of the Yang Family, and in the end, nothing came of it.
In the end, Yang Wen had wanted to go to a mountain near Yang Village and find a cave to live in, but was forcefully brought back to Ya Village by some men, back to the Lin Family.
"Sangsang, come here, Grandpa has a few words to say to you."
Lin Laogeng sighed softly as he watched the Yang siblings sitting in the main room, one consoling, the other secretly wiping away tears, then called his granddaughter into his own room.
"Grandpa, are you wanting to talk to me about Seventh Uncle Yang?"
Lin Caisang naturally knew her Grandpa always had a kind heart and couldn’t stand to see others suffer.
Especially this man, who was related to their family, after all, he was Yang Lin’s biological brother, and he was not a bad person. It was even because of Yang Lin that he ended up being driven out by his own family.
"Look at your Third Aunt; her belly is getting bigger, and with Yang Wen driven out with nowhere to live, if he really leaves this family behind, think how worried Third Aunt would be."
Lin Laogeng said to his granddaughter.
"Ideally, this should have been something your Grandmother should talk to you about, but your Grandmother... probably still holds a grudge against the Yang Family, so I had no choice but to speak to you myself."
"So Grandpa, have you decided to let him stay?" Lin Caisang asked in return.
"That depends on what you think,"
Lin Laogeng said, looking at his granddaughter.
No matter how nicely he put it here, if his granddaughter disagreed, he wouldn’t let Yang Wen stay.
Although he was the head of the family, all the household affairs were managed by Sangsang, and the money was spent by her; if he forcibly kept an outsider, he couldn’t possibly act so wilfully.
"He can stay, but that’s only if Seventh Uncle Yang himself is willing," Lin Caisang said.
The Yang Family were really ruthless; she had seen with her own eyes how badly Seventh Uncle Yang had been treated, to the point that they had a break-off relationship document.
Just for doing a little something not in line with the wishes of the senior members of the Yang Family, they had forced Seventh Uncle Yang into a predicament, and kicked him out without a penny, leaving him without even a place to stay.
It seemed that Seventh Uncle Yang had never been treated as a son by the senior members of the Yang Family.
"Let Third Aunt handle that, I believe that’s probably what she’s thinking too," Lin Laogeng said.
"So, Grandpa, are you saying this matter is settled?" Lin Caisang asked with raised eyebrows, looking at her grandpa.
"Let’s settle it,"
Lin Laogeng said after a moment’s thought.
But still, he looked up at his granddaughter once more.
"If we settle Yang Wen down, your Brother Changfeng can be at peace too. Otherwise, with Third Aunt upset every day, how can Changfeng study properly? Sangsang, don’t you have other thoughts?"
"No."
Lin Caisang shook her head.
Big thoughts, she certainly had none, but small thoughts...
"Grandpa, have you thought about this—if our family keeps Seventh Uncle Yang, and later on the Yang Family finds out, constantly causing trouble for us because Seventh Uncle Yang is with us, what then?"
She voiced her own concerns.
"That..."
Upon mentioning the Yang household, Lin Laogeng’s expression darkened.
"Then Sangsang, what do you think we should do? Yang Wen is penniless; if he leaves our house, where else could he go?"
