Sol immediately tried to explain the situation, but Mar-Yue stopped him. She then turned to the five girls and asked with her brows furrowed.

"What are you girls doing?"

The five girls looked at each other before one of them asked.

"Big Sis, are you two still together?"

Mar-Yue’s frown deepened as she said.

"Of course, why wouldn’t we be?"

Another one of the girls explained.

"It’s just that we heard rumors going around that you two separated. If we had known you two were still together we wouldn’t have asked Sol something like that."

"Rumors?"

Mar-Yue eyes suddenly flared with anger, and her gaze darted to Mar-Du who was floating above the stage.

Mar-Du suddenly looked away before he could meet Mar-Yue’s gaze.

Mar-Yue ground her teeth and said.

"You girls can leave."

The five girls nodded and apologized once more, but Mar-Yue assured them everything was fine.

After the girls left, Sol watched as Mar-Yue bit her lip while tears well up in her eyes.

"Are you okay?"

Sol immediately approached her, but Mar-Yue shook her head.

"No, I’m not okay. Father purposely spread those rumors; he really hasn’t given up on separating us. I don’t understand why he’s so adamant. Why can’t he just understand how I feel?"

Mar-Yue looked overwhelmed with emotions, and Sol wrapped his arms around her so she could bury her head in his chest and cry.

This was the first time he had seen her cry.

’It doesn’t feel good.’

"Sol, if you leave me then I’m going to punch you. I... I probably wouldn’t mind sharing you, but I’ll never forgive you if you allow my father to convince you to leave me for some other girl."

Mar-Yue suddenly said, and from that, Sol could tell she knew about his conversation with Mar-Du.

"I’m going to talk to father. He’s going too far."

There was a bit of anger in Mar-Yue’s voice.

Sol hearing this sighed and then recalled Abdu’s suggestion.

’But if what I speculate is right, then Senior Mar-Du isn’t worried about my bloodline not being strong enough.’

As Sol thought this, a commotion suddenly occurred in the surroundings.

"Huh? Why is the stone monument activating on its own?"

Sol hearing this glanced over at the stone monument and saw that the circular runes had lit up on it and formed the three-circle formation.

However, in the next moment, something unexpected happened.

A golden beam of light suddenly shot out and sped towards where Sol and Mar-Yue were.

The beam of light was so fast Sol couldn’t think to doge with Mar-Yue before it had reached them.

The golden beam landed on Mar-Yue specifically, and as if disregarding Sol, a strong force appeared that shoved him away.

The surrounding crowd all backed away from Mar-Yue with shocked looks on their faces.

"Wah! Look at the stone monument!"

A cry was heard from a youth before everyone turned to look at the stone monument.

The runes that were golden in color suddenly turned red along with the beam of light that was shining on a confused Mar-Yue.

"That-That’s never happened before."

Everyone knew that Mar-Yue possessed a portion of their Ancestral Bloodline, but even when she was tested a year ago this had never happened.

"Wait, could this mean she’s fully awakened our Ancestral Bloodline?!"

Once this speculation was announced, everyone’s faces lit up.

One person shouted, and immediately after everyone in the crowd roared.

Not everyone from the tribe was here to watch the Coming-of-Age Ceremony, but there were over a thousand people here and their roar was absolutely deafening.

Then one by one they all began stomping on the ground causing the ground to shake like an earthquake was occurring.

Their stomps almost sounded like drums, drums that were welcoming the presence of the leader of not just the Bloodline Tribe, but all the Tribes in the Eternal Desert.

At last, someone who might be able to suppress everyone in this generation like Mar-Tala appeared.

Everyone had fervent looks on their faces as they stomped and yelled.

Soon, one by one they all bent a single knee and bowed their heads towards Mar-Yue.

Despite everyone feeling jubilant, only three people here weren’t feeling these emotions.

Mar-Dule looked at his sister with a complicated expression before he followed everyone and bowed.

Mar-Yue’s face was filled with a panicked expression as she looked at Sol. It was as if she was saying she didn’t want to be here. It was the worst possible situation that could have happened.

Sol seeing Mar-Yue’s expression wanted to approach her, but how could he in a situation like this? It would be like he was trampling on these people’s excited emotions if he did.

Sol clenched his fists, but soon he released them.

So what if he did?

He was always considerate of other’s feelings, but just this once he wanted to be selfish.

Sol suddenly stepped forward.

The red light around Mar-Yue tried to stop him from approaching, but his eyes flashed as the two bracelets on his wrists turned into rings on his middle fingers.

Total Eclipse was activated, and even though Sol didn’t transform into a giant, that dark energy appeared around him while his hair became a black, reddish color.

In one swift motion, Sol forced his way past the red light and grabbed Mar-Yue, before ripping her from the red beam of light.

As the runes on the stone monument faded away, Sol held Mar-Yue’s hand as he led her through the crowd and left.

The young couple left the crowd of people that were bowing, with surprised and confused expressions on their faces.

Mar-Du who was silently watching this play out released an exhausted sigh.

"What are you all doing? The children are still preparing to head out into the dangerous Eternal Desert."

With that, the crowd who were kneeling rose and went back to paying attention to the Coming-of-Age Ceremony. But in truth, their attention was only partially on it.

Mar-Yue becoming the first Tribe Leader who might be able to truly unify the Barbarian Race was all they could talk about. But soon, this news was going to spread throughout the Eternal Desert, and that was going to cause an upheaval.

Maybe it would cause a splash in Jianghu and the Land of Shadows as well!
