Chapter 130: Chapter 127- Making An Obvious Plan Work

"Suuuu... Haaaa... Suuuu... Haaaa..."

Sol was currently sitting cross-legged in the main bedroom near the arch openings that showed the starry night sky outside. His massive golden bow was strapped over his left shoulder by the string across his back.

He breathed in large amounts of Wood-type Aether Energy, absorbed its purities before releasing the impurities. He did this at a steady pace.

The books that were on the shelves were already stored inside his storage bag and he was simply waiting here for the intruder in his newly acquired palace to show up.

It took a while, but the intruder eventually came. Afterall, he had made sure his cultivation process was obvious.

Silently, the grotesque Nian Beast slithered its way near the open double doors of the main bedroom.

It lowered its large head and ’peered’ inside the room to ’stare’ at Sol. Its mouth drooled a sickening black goo as if it was salivating at the thought of devouring Sol.

However, it didn’t enter the bedroom.

The Nian Beast’s head turned to the walls of the room and then back at Sol who was staring at it.

"Do you think I would fall for such a childish trick?"

The Nian Beast asked in a mocking tone.

"You just want me to enter this small room to attack you. But you’ll escape through those arch openings you’re so close to before trapping me in here with all the runes you carved and hidden on the walls. Also, from the missing books on the shelves, you intend to do so because you plan to head to the library to read as many books as you want."

The Nian Beast was scarily spot-on in figuring out Sol’s plan, but Sol was calm as he waved his hands at the walls.

Immediately, the runes he carved to trap the Nian Beast in this room appeared. But these weren’t ordinary runes, they were runes carved using all of the knowledge Sol had gained from his Master, which was then linked together using Su Moon’s methods to create terrifying Formation Array restrictions.

Even a Quasi-Spiritual Realm cultivator, someone infinitesimally close to the Spiritual Realm, would find it hard to escape this room. That wasn’t evening mentioning the Grand Formation Array surrounding the palace that boosted its restrictive capabilities up a notch.

As of now, this room was like a prison for a Spiritual Realm existence that was either a cultivator or a Spirit Beast.

It took a few hours, but Sol could still accomplish such a feat; a testament to his mastery of runes.

However, his plan seemed to be for naught as the Nian Beast refused to enter the room... Or was it?

Sol smiled at the Nian Beast after revealing the Formation Array restrictions on the walls, then said.

"I knew something like this wouldn’t work unless you enter the room, and you also seem smart enough to see through my plan. However, all I have to do is force you to enter, and that’s very simple."

After saying that, Sol then closed his eyes and restarted his absorption of the Legacy Inheritance.

When the Nian Beast saw this, it became enraged.

"BASTARD!!"

It roared in that distorted voice before charging into the room.

Sol’s eyes flew open, and he didn’t hesitate to form a hand seal to activate the Formation Array restrictions on the walls. He then pushed off the ground and used the momentum to fling himself out of one of the large arch openings.

The Nian Beast had lunged at him, but it couldn’t stop him from escaping.

It slammed against the blue barrier of the Grand Formation Array, that appeared and prevented it from going outside.

The Nian Beast stuck close to the barrier, glaring at Sol who was somehow floating in mid-air.

Sol had never tried this before, but when the idea came to him, he felt that it was only natural.

He was able to telepathically control the bracelets around his ankles and wrists. So, by using that telepathic control, he was able to move them while they were around his hands and feet to achieve flight, something only cultivators in the Spiritual Realm could do.

However, as easy as it might sound, controlling more than one at a time took a lot of concentration. For now, Sol could only control the ones on his ankles to float a bit.

If he wanted to actually fly around in the sky, he had to learn how to control all four and coordinate them in sync. And that would take a while.

But for now, his control was enough to help him outsmart this Nian Beast.

While his yellow robes and golden curly hair fluttered slightly, Sol folded his hands and calmly stared at the trapped Nian Beast with his golden pupils. He was floating just a few feet away from the barrier as if to rub in the fact that it couldn’t reach him.

"I can’t believe you still fell for my trap despite it being so obvious."

The Nian Beast banged its head against the barrier and snarled before it said threateningly.

"Do you think I can’t escape this room? This might be able to trap a true Spiritual Realm existence, but my existence is far more terrifying than that."

Those words might have terrified a few people, but Sol only showed a casual smile.

"I know how frightening an entity like you are. After all, for a creature to have survived since the time Immortal Deities roam this world, you are probably some mythical being with a rare bloodline that gives you some peculiar abilities. But..."

Sol paused and unfurled his folded hands to show that his right wrist didn’t have a bracelet around it.

However, the Nian Beast didn’t know the significance of this. So, it was caught off-guard when the fake wall created by the Grand Formation Array faded to reveal a gigantic bracelet.

This bracelet shot out with extreme speed and clamped around the Nian Beast’s slender neck before it had time to react.

SCREEECH!!!

The Nian Beast immediately released a shrill cry before it began thrashing around the room.

Its body would disperse into a black cloud of smoke before it tried to faze through the bracelet, but golden runes would shine on the bracelet that nullified its strange ability.

The Nian Beast seemed to panic when it realized it couldn’t escape the bracelet, and it began to thrash around more violently.

When Sol saw this, he released an internal sigh of relief.

"Even though I suspected that your ability doesn’t work on the Grand Formation Array around the Palace or else you could have easily fazed through the walls and caught me, I wasn’t sure if it was the same for my bracelets. With that said, seeing that it’s able to restrict an existence like yourself, I think I’ll start using my Family’s heirloom a bit more in the future."

As Sol said this, he formed a hand seal. The golden runes on the bracelet shone with a dazzling light before a loud bang echoed out as a crater formed in the room, destroying the golden tiles.

The bracelet had become as heavy as a mountain, forcing the Nian Beast to remain pinned to the ground.

Sol glanced at his Formation Array restrictions and saw that small fissures were already appearing in them in the short time the Nian Beast was thrashing around. But he didn’t mind, those were just decoys. His true trap for this thing had been his bracelet.

With a silly smile, Sol cheerfully said. f\r(e)ewe.b no\vel.com

"Alright, I’m going to need you to stay here for... well, just stay here until I’m done in a week. I still haven’t decided whether to kill you or not, but I’m leaning more toward killing you for the horrible things you’ve done. Maybe you should take this time out to think about what to say to tilt the odds in your favor. I’ll give you a hint... you’re extremely old, perhaps even older than my Master, and I’m extremely interested in the past as you can see from my fascination with these books. Okay, that’s the hint. See you in a week!"

Afterward, Sol left the loudly screeching Nian Beast and slowly lowered himself to the ground.
