Chapter 112 - 109- The Beauty of Aether Energy

Chapter 112: Chapter 109- The Beauty of Aether Energy

In Pearl City, a youth that looked like a child beggar was roaming the streets. He looked to be around fourteen or fifteen and had messy hair along with a noticeable scar on the bottom right of his lip.

Overall, the youth looked completely haggard. However, if one had keen eyes, one would be able to notice that his fingernails had not a spec of dirt underneath them.

One would also realize the dirt marks on his clothes resembled fingers, as if he had taken a hand full of dirt and wiped it on himself.

These small details, if noticed by someone, would shatter the persona this youth had carefully crafted. Though who would be so attentive when looking at a child beggar? As he walked through the streets, people would either look at him with pity or disgust before avoiding him.

Soon, the youth approached a street vendor’s stand. He quickly walked up to it and swiped away a candy.

"Hey, you damn brat! What do you think you’re doing?!"

The old vendor bellowed at the youth who turned on his heels and ran off.

The vendor was too old to chase after him, but even if he could the boy had weaved through the crowd expertly and quickly disappeared from sight.

Far away from the stand, the boy walked out of an alleyway while eating the candy he stole.

The candy was four bright red sweats on a stick; it was a really popular in this City.

While snacking on his stolen goods, the youth suddenly stopped in his tracks and looked up.

A massive ship could be seen flying overhead.

It was so large it cast a shadow over a small portion of the city as it made its way to its destination.

Only a few people raised their heads to look at this ship. Most people weren’t that surprised by it because they had seen this ship every year.

However, this youth was different. He was staring at the ship with such intensity it was slightly alarming.

"Four years, after four years of waiting it’s finally time. Those fuckers better not mess up their part, I’ll definitely kill them this time if they do. But it’s already been four years, I wonder how they’re doing."

After muttering this to himself, the youth dropped his candy and turned to take a step forward. With this step, his figure suddenly blurred before disappearing.

If someone could see the direction he left in, they would realize he was heading for the massive ship.

On the ship, Sol was looking down at the city in awe.

"Why is there a city here?"

"It’s because of the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension."

Yoon-Jae next to him replied.

"So, the Academy allows people in the outside world entry into the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension?"

"Yes, but they can only enter the Outer region of the Dimension for a fee, the Inner regions are reserved for disciples like us. With that being said, even in the Outer region there are valuable medicinal plants to find, so due to there being supply, there was demand, which resulted in this entire city being created to trade and sell medicinal plants brought out from the Dimension."

As Sol listened to Yoon-Jae’s explanation, he saw something in the city that shocked him.

"There are mortals living here as well?"

Yoon-Jea nodded.

"The Martial Alliance City is different from others where it’s mostly cultivators. But for the other Cities you visit in the future, you’ll see mortals and cultivators living together like this."

Sol found that fascinating, and he continued to observe the city below as the ship flew over it. But soon, the ship began to slow down until it fully came to a stop.

"All disciples disembark!"

The disciples on the deck started to make their way off the ship. Some of the newer ones were so excited their faces had turned bright red.

Sol soon stepped off the ship with the other Alchemy Disciples and started looking around. But unfortunately, the disciples up ahead were blocking his view.

However, he soon noticed something peculiar that made him glance down at the ground. Curious, Sol tapped the ground with his foot. After he heard a hard thud.

The ground was in fact solid rock.

Sol was so busy staring at the city that he didn’t realize where the ship had stopped. It wasn’t on the ground because he could see that the clouds in the sky were really close. They must have landed on an elevated platform.

After Sol came to this conclusion he started looking around again, but this time he was searching for Byeong-Ho. He was supposed to be here, but because he wasn’t from the Academy he hadn’t ridden with them on the ship.

However, Sol soon had to give up trying to spot him in this sea of disciples.

He did manage to spot a few black robed disciples from the Weapon Innate Dharma Pavilion, but Byeong-Ho must be lost among them.

After he couldn’t find Byeong-Ho, Sol now turned his attention to the Elders that were rising into the air and flying off somewhere.

"Brother Yoon-Jae, what’s going on? When are we heading to the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension?"

Yoon-Jae smiled and responded.

"We’re already here."

"Wah! Really?"

Sol was surprised and he looked around more intently, but he soon frowned and asked.

"Are you sure? Where is it?"

To be honest, Sol didn’t know what he was looking for. He understood Yoon-Jae’s explanation before that this was a separate Dimension, like another world embedded inside the fabric of space, but the concept eluded him somewhat.

He had never heard or seen something like that before.

Yoon-Jae raised his hand and pointed toward the sky.

Sol blinked and just as he was about to say that nothing was there, a sudden bright white pillar of light shot towards the sky in the distance.

Soon a second and then a third pillar shot toward the sky.

Sol was in awe by the spectacle.

However, he became more shocked as he suddenly felt immense Aether Energy gathering beneath his feet.

Then all of a sudden it erupted.

Sol’s hair and robes fluttered uncontrollably, and so did the other disciples around him. Everything in the surroundings had become pure white. Sol immediately realized he must be standing inside one of those white pillars.

Feeling this absurd abundance of Aether Energy, Sol felt the urge to sit down and start cultivating, but he resisted it.

Little Zeel, who was asleep on his head, woke up and glanced at the surrounding with shining eyes. Though Sol didn’t notice this. He was busy trying to catch the white specs that appeared around him.

The Aether Energy was so dense that it had formed tiny droplets.

"This is so unreal. I never knew Aether Energy could look this beautiful."

Sol suddenly blurted out, completely mesmerized by the scenery.

The Alchemy Disciples around overheard Sol and saw how he was admiring the Aether Energy around them with child-like curiosity.

They paused, and their anticipation for entering the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension was momentarily put aside.

They started looking around at the Aether Energy they had been ignoring.

Sol was right. It was really amazing to see.

Yoon-Jae smiled and suddenly extended his index finger to tap one of the droplets condensed from Aether Energy. It burst and then transformed into a red flaming flower that quickly bloomed before wilting away.

Yoon-Jae went to tap another droplet, but Sol next to him reached and tapped the droplet before he could.

This droplet filled with Aether Energy trembled and instead of bursting into a flaming flower, it attracted a few more droplets around it to form a sphere that was half the size of a baby’s fist. Afterwards, it began to rotate and slowly morph into a closed flaming flower with a stem. Its closed petals began to open as soon as it finished forming, and a bright red glow radiated from it that shone on the amazed faces of the disciples nearby.

What Sol and Yoon-Jae did seem simple, but it was mind-blowing if one truly understood how they did it.

These droplets of Aether Energy were without an elemental attribute. So, what Sol and Yoon-Jae did when they tapped the droplet in that split second, was that they infused their own Fire Aether Energy into it and then transform its structure into a flower.

The minute control of Aether Energy needed to pull off such a delicate process in that split second was simply absurd.

However, the disciples were confused.

Did Sol cultivate Fire Aether Energy? How was he able to do that with Yoon-Jae?

Yoon-Jae looked towards Sol with disapproval in his eyes, but Sol smiled back at him as if to say he had only manipulated the Fire Aether a little bit. It wasn’t enough to draw attention or affect his cultivation of Wood-type Aether.

Indeed, Sol was right. After disciples softly discussed among themselves, they came to the conclusion that he must have used a Martial Skill to infuse the Fire Aether Energy inside the droplet rather then used his Inter Fire Aether Energy as Yoon-Jae did.

Yoon-Jae shook his head before both he and Sol returned their gaze forward.

It took a while, but Sol finally saw what Yoon-Jae was pointing at.

The void in the sky began to twist and distort, before ripples began spreading out in the sky for several hundred meters.

"Whoa!"

Sol cried out in surprise as a white light suddenly wrapped around his body and whisk him off the ground.
