Chapter 1245: Chapter 27 Catching an Adulterer in the Act_2

After a round of discussion, they decided to have one person lead the four brothers, Gao Wen and his siblings, into the city to rest, one person to invite Lancelot to intervene, and lastly, one person to remain and guard the place.

The chosen place to stay was naturally the small courtyard where the Southern Realm’s hostage resided.

After all, the task of stopping the Oakney army had been excellently accomplished by the other party. It was only right to let the separated mentor and disciple meet properly to express sincere thanks and cooperative goodwill.

Percival led the group through the alleys and arrived at the small courtyard.

Meanwhile, inside the house, Luo En was drenched in sweat.

Because an Elf Knight with a poor sleeping posture was clinging to his chest like a sleepy bear, her cold, hard armor removed, leaving only a few thin undergarments hanging on her.

Came back in just one night?

Altria and Bedivere’s work efficiency was way too fast!

"Sir, your two partners have already returned. Are you awake?"

Hearing the shout from outside the door, Luo En became even more flustered.

And before he could think of how to worm his way out of it, Meiluxin poked half her head out of the quilt, murmuring groggily:

"Percival? Are you outside? Stop making noise, let me sleep a bit longer."

"Lord Lancelot?"

Percival outside was startled by this sudden voice, his mind in a whirlwind.

Wasn’t this lord supposed to live in the Royal Palace all this time? When did they come here to sleep?

Could it be a coincidence?

And the Southern Realm guest was arranged elsewhere for some reason.

Yes, that must be it!

Just as Percival was trying hard to convince himself, Aggrevain beside him spoke expressionlessly:

"There are two people inside, a man and a woman."

Percival’s face froze, and vague murmuring came from inside the room:

"It’s not over yet, why are you getting dressed?"

"Mmm, hard, not comfortable at all..."

"Haha, so ticklish, don’t, don’t move..."

Hearing the intermittent sounds, Percival felt something shatter inside him.

Meanwhile, a chilling, eerie sense of killing intent emanated from behind.

The hair on Percival’s neck stood on end, feeling as if death was near.

Before he could react, a figure leaped over him and kicked at the door.

Accompanied by a dull thud, the tightly closed door crashed to the ground, and the situation inside the room was laid bare before everyone;

The bed was a chaotic mess, fragments of clothing were scattered on the floor, and a disheveled couple was entangled on the bed...

Under everyone’s gaze, Luo En shakily buttoned the last button at Meiluxin’s neckline and turned his head with a forced smile:

"What a coincidence, everyone came quite early."

The place was silent, pairs of eyes filled with disdain, shock, or confusion looking at the two in the room.

Beads of cold sweat formed on Luo En’s forehead, and his smile grew stiffer:

"Actually, Lancelot and I have a lot to talk about. We got a bit carried away last night and ended up..."

"Ended up on the same bed?"

Gareth poked his head out, candidly finishing the last part of the sentence.

It’s mutual appreciation, the kind that talks all night!

Purely platonic, we didn’t do anything inappropriate!

Luo En was a bit frantic, the rebuttal getting stuck in his throat.

Just as the atmosphere was growing increasingly awkward, Altria at the door was the first to reveal a smile:

"Teacher, it’s good you’re alright. This is Sir Gao Wen and his three brothers. I’ve invited them to Albion at your request. It seems that you and Lord Lancelot are presently indisposed so I will take them next door to rest. Once you’re done, we can talk in detail."

Saying this, Altria took the lead to guide the way.

Though Gao Wen and the others chose to follow, they said nothing directly, yet their gaze at someone was filled with disdain.

On the way to Albion, they frequently heard some Southern Border Knight bragging about how graceful his teacher was, how wise, and how tirelessly he worked to save the fate of Britain...

Yet his student fought tooth and nail at the forefront, while this teacher was fooling around with someone else behind.

In the end, he still relied on his student to forcibly save face.

Truly, seeing is not the same as hearing...

Watching Altria and her group leave the courtyard, Luo En finally grasped the absurdity of it all.

Legend has it that after uncovering Lancelot and Princess Guinevere’s affair, Aggrevain conspired with Gareth, Gahorliss, and twelve others from the Round Table Knight in blocking the door to catch them in the act.

Now, King Arthur himself leads the team;

Gao Wen, Gareth, Gahorliss, Aggrevain are accompanying;

Bedivere, Percival to serve as witnesses;

And soon enough, Bos and Galahad would get the message...

Good heavens, this scenario felt just like a rehearsal for a catching-a-cheating case.

So, am I playing Guinevere’s role?

Luo En pondered seriously, finding it increasingly plausible.

Because, Guinevere herself was a later addition in knight novels, her existence still in question.

Compared to the original Diarmuid and Princess Grainne, who had fled to France for seclusion, likely not getting involved in internal conflicts of the Round Table Knight.

And in King Arthur’s legend, Guinevere’s major role was providing the "Round Table," thus forming the Round Table Knight concept.

Coincidentally, establishing the Round Table Knight Order, recruiting the Round Table Knights, was precisely the idea he proposed to the trio of Morgan.

Recalling the somewhat disappointed look his student gave him before leaving, Luo En couldn’t help but feel a mix of helplessness and amusement.
