Chapter 1090: Chapter 124: Heavy Punch! Must Deliver a Heavy Punch! (6.6k)
And in its mouth full of sharp teeth, there was a biting grip on a broken elf corpse.
The white hair, the kind face, and the highest ceremonial robes she was wearing proclaimed her former identity.
——The founder of Elf City Orkney, the matriarch of the Rain Clan.
"Kaseparuge!!!"
Morgan’s eyes widened in rage, as the magic wand in her hand transformed into the shape of Vanguard Spear Rengominade amidst swirling black flames, shooting sharply towards the evil beast in the city.
The breath of death approached, and the pupils of Kaseparuge on the square contracted fiercely. The seven long tails of bones and crystal behind instinctively swept towards the sky.
"Boom!"
The Holy Lance clashed with the long tail, and a thunderous explosion erupted, leveling most of the central district of Orkney through this intense magic power shockwave.
The enormous body of the Beast of Calamity retreated continuously, its sharp claws plowing through the marble ground. The flying debris mutated into thorn-covered magic chains, extending like sinews from the earth to assist the monster in discharging force.
Pain! Death!
These terrible outcomes surged in its mind, and the silver-white giant beast immediately raised its head, opened its bloody maw, and roared as it spewed a thick crimson torrent of aether.
Streaks of blood-colored light patterns formed along the way, successfully offsetting the terrifying divine power attached to the Holy Lance.
However, before Kaseparuge could catch its breath, the wielder of the Holy Lance descended from the air outside the city and unleashed a deluge of curses.
Even though Kaseparuge struggled to deflect and avoid, hundreds of cursed bullets still fell on its body.
Agonizing pain surged through, as golden-red blood gushed from the torn wounds, dripping steadily to the ground.
A flicker of fear and confusion passed through Kaseparuge’s eyes, and it immediately lowered its head, letting out a low growl.
"Fuuu~~"
"Die!"
However, at this moment, Morgan’s eyes were crimson red, and without hesitation, she recalled the Holy Lance, preparing to launch it again.
Run!
Survival instinct dominated its mind, and Kaseparuge didn’t wait for Morgan’s move, its body rapidly shrunk, transforming back into the familiar white-furred small beast, using its size advantage, it darted like lightning into the dense forest on the other side of the city.
"Stop! You mongrel!"
With the target lost, Morgan was furious and decisively put away the Holy Lance, leaping to give chase.
When the crowd came to their senses, breaking through the obstacles of Moss’s evil spirits, and rushed to the central square of Orkney, all that remained was the aftermath of the battle between a person and a beast.
Looking at the pile of elf corpses as tall as a mountain before them, Habettlot was full of grief and anger.
The Rain Clan was annihilated, and all of Orkney had turned into a dead city.
Though she escaped this catastrophe, she was left with no homeland, no friends.
"It’s all your fault!"
Habettlot turned her head to accuse someone ahead, with red eyes filled with anguish,
"If you hadn’t insisted on harboring that monster, how could everyone in Orkney have died? You’re all murderers!"
"Don’t jump to conclusions."
Luo En stood up from the pile of corpses, pointing at several elf corpses,
"Look at them, although there are obvious bite and tear marks, the strength, depth, and size of the wounds are completely different. This isn’t the result of a single creature, but a group!"
"What do you mean?"
"It means that those who killed these Rain Elves may not necessarily be Kaseparuge. It’s very likely to be another group of creatures. They are many and retain the characteristics of beasts, with beast-like claws and teeth."
Vivian, holding a magic wand, stood up on the other side of the mound of corpses, explaining irritably.
Habettlot wiped her tears, showing a look of shock, "Then, then what do we do now?"
"What else can we do? Let’s focus on getting Morgan back first!" Luo En snorted coldly, "Moreover, if we want to figure out what exactly happened in Orkney, we might only be able to ask Kaseparuge now!"
Gazing into the distance where explosions continued to resound in the forest, he couldn’t help frowning.
Hopefully, that legendary Beast of Calamity is not just a name, able to withstand Morgan’s angry pursuit.
~~
Meanwhile, in the forest.
Shrunk into the form of a white-furred small beast, Kaseparuge dodged the dense barrage of cursed bullets while fleeing at lightning speed.
Despite being known as the Beast of Calamity, it was still too young, facing a formidable opponent like the Death Goddess chasing after it.
Confronting such a great Goddess ruling the Britain region, if it does not escape quickly, it’s destined to be pierced like a sieve.
Yet even so, Kaseparuge still overestimated its speed and underestimated Morgan’s intent to kill.
"Boom boom boom boom!"
Face-sized cursed bullets whistled as they fell, intensifying the saturation bombing and completely blocking Kaseparuge’s escape route, blasting the Beast of Calamity along with the surrounding land into the air.
"Accept your fate, you evil beast!"
Morgan grasped her right hand in the air, her gaze cold and sinister, as the Vanguard Spear in her hand condensed into dazzling sharpness, its tip splitting into thirteen shining black-red light spears of condensed death energy, shooting at Kaseparuge in mid-air.
Yet, in the instant the small beast was about to meet its demise, glowing green waves surged out, repelling the thirteen light spears formed of death energy.
With the glow fading, Kaseparuge in the air had disappeared without a trace.
"Who? Come out!"
Morgan roared in anger, sweeping the Vanguard Spear horizontally forward.
Immediately, the trees in front were ravaged, breaking into pieces under the unstoppable spear’s edge.
