The morning of the next day, Yang Chen headed towards the Lin clan auction house to meet Lin Mang.

"Oh? Young friend Yang Yan, I was waiting for you" he was led by a subordinate to the side hall of the third floor where a chubby man was waiting for him.

"Did the young friend come to a decision?" the chubby man was none other than Elder Lin Mang from the Lin clan.

"Yeah, I have thought about this carefully and decided to participate in the entrance test" The reason why Yang Chen was here was to get sponsored by the Lin clan.

According to the rules of the holy orchard academy, one needed a recognised sponsor if one wanted to join the outer academy. Hence he was here to give his answer.

"In that case, I will immediately prepare your application and send it to the examiners" Lin Mang smiled and pulled out a document from his desk.

As expected of a competent merchant, he finished filling the document in a couple of seconds.

"Young friend Yang Yan, although I have already explained all the information that you need to know, if there is anything you want to know please don’t hesitate to speak up".

Yang Chen nodded his head at those words, he wasn’t among the ones to shy away when he needed to know something.

"In that case, how many members are participating from the Lin clan and would I have to work together with them?".

"About that, young friend does not need to worry. Only two people from our Lin clan would be participating this time. Although you are sponsored by us, there is no special rule obligating you to work together with the participant of our clan. As such, young friend is free to act as he wants."

Lin Mang explained tapping his pen on the desk. If it was someone else other than Yang Chen, he would have advised them to stick with the group. However, given Yang Chen’s strength, he felt that there couldn’t possibly be any hurdle that he wouldn’t be able to overcome.

"Young friend, I will send this to the examiner. So please make sure you are present before sunrise tomorrow near the East Gate. A carriage from our Lin clan will take you to the place where the entrance test will be held".

Seeing Lin Mang helping him take care of things, Yang Chen finally decided to tell them about the information he was withholding within him the entire time.

"Since Elder Lin Mang is helping me so much, it wouldn’t look good on my part if I didn’t contribute anything".
