Chapter 886: A New One.

Alec wasted no time agreeing to pay the fee as all six enormous plants began to blossom.

He approached the closest one and gently tapped its bud. Immediately, sparkling lights burst from the blooming flower, dancing in the air.

Alec raised his right hand, and a gentle suction force pulled the swirling lights toward his palm, he knew the refined loot would eventually settle before him after swirling around, but he didn’t have the patience to wait—he was eager to see what he would gain from the Tier 7 goblins.

Though he had previously refined a Tier 7 lifeform (zombies).

However, the rewards had been underwhelming, likely due to the corruption of their bodies by the zombie virus, now, he wanted to use these goblin corpses to confirm if the yield was different with purer Tier 7 beings.

[Ding!]

• 1x Memory Card

• 10x Tier 7 Cultivation Pills

Alec hadn’t even seen the full list yet, but the moment those ten Tier 7 cultivation

Pills appeared, he clenched his left fist and shouted, “Yes!”

He didn’t fully understand what a memory card was or how it differed from the memory orbs he used to receive, but he made a mental note to check it after sorting through the rest of the rewards.

• 5x Tier 7 Mental Pills

Alec’s eyes widened in shock, it was his first time receiving such pills called the mental pills, and he immediately recalled how the last time he refined Tier 7 zombies, he got a unique pill too—the Undead Purge Pill.

Though unfamiliar with the specifics of these new pills, he was clearly thrilled to be receiving rare items.

• 2x Tier 7 Healing Pills

• 1x Random Tier 7 Astral Spell Card

• 50x Tier 7 Humanoid-Type Weapon Fragments

• 50x Tier 7 Humanoid-Type Armour Fragments

Seeing the rest of the loot, Alec sucked in a sharp breath, he had been hoping for a fully-formed Tier 7 weapon like he had gotten last time, however he had gotten fragments, his only compensation is that they offered potential.

Which made him feel like this haul was a little bit better than what he’d gotten from zombie corpses—and this was only from one tree branch.

When Alec thought about how he could one day equip the entire Gordon Clan with high-rank equipment, a wide smile stretched across his face, he knew the clan had a rich heritage, but that didn’t mean they were wealthy—far from it.

Even mid-rank equipment was scarce in their clan, let alone high-rank gear.

Currently, the only members with high-ranking weapons were the Patriarch and the Third Elder.

The Patriarch’s katana, much like Alec’s own Bloody Changdao, was a faulty Divine-rank weapon. Alec still planned to question his grandfather soon about how they’d managed to obtain not just one, but two Divine weapons.

Even if they were damaged, it didn’t change the fact that these weapons were above anything found in the first nine tiers of power.

Divine weapons were built to harness the full might of monarch-level experts, and if word got out that Alec possessed one—even in a damaged state—the ancient clans of the Northern Kingdom would stop at nothing to wrest it from him.

Fortunately, its damaged condition concealed its true identity. Alec was convinced that Divine weapons were likely unknown in the Northern Kingdom, in fact, he suspected his grandfather didn’t even know the true nature of the weapon and had unknowingly handed over such a priceless treasure.

Because given how selfish the old man could be, Alec found it hard to believe he would willingly part with something so valuable—unless he had no idea what it truly was.

If not for the system, Alec himself might’ve just assumed it was just another incredibly durable and unusual weapon.

As for the Third Elder, his weapon hadn’t truly reached the high rank yet—it merely possessed the potential to, since he fought by merging with his golem during battle, he also wielded the golem’s weapon which is a Naginata.

Its strength increased in tandem with the golem’s growth, making it a weapon with evolving potential rather than fixed power.

[Tier 7 Memory Cards]

[Memory Card]: A device used to store attack spells or skills purchased from the system store, once stored, it transforms into either a skill scroll or a book, depending on the nature of the ability. It can then be extracted and then given to others to learn, because the knowledge originates from the system, it also accelerates the user’s learning speed.

Note: Only skills or spells up to High Rank can be stored.

Limit: One person per memory card.

Alec finally opened the description of the memory card as he touched one, It was wide, about the size of an ATM card, but also transparent, almost like an empty box.

He figured this was likely because he hadn’t stored anything in it yet. Still, he could tell it was a big deal—as he was no longer limited to just spirit equipment when he wants to gift something to his inner circle.

Now, he could introduce top-tier skills and spells from the system store to his inner circle, which would significantly boost their combat capabilities.

Alec knew he wouldn’t always be by their side, so giving them more tools and techniques to rely on made him feel relieved.

As for the mental pills, he noticed they glowed with a light blue hue, he quickly summoned a pill bottle from his system inventory and sealed them inside.

From the description he’d read, these pills were meant to heal a mage’s soul energy that normal healing methods can’t do, strengthen their mental image after reaching the Tier 7 mage realm in case of a injury to their mental state, or help develop their mental power at Tier 6— making them bridge the gap to break into the high ranks easily before then.

At higher tiers, just having strong mana and a solid foundation wasn’t enough, a mage’s mental strength had to reach a certain threshold to advance into Tier 7.

Most mages couldn’t meet that requirement as they couldn’t get their hands on a mental pill and got stuck in the mid ranks for life.

Unlike Alec, who could rely on the ancient Primordial Tree for rare pills, others would need a high-rank alchemist.

But even then, such alchemists rarely refined mental pills for others, as the process was ten times more difficult than making cultivation pills of the same rank.

This was evident in the fact that the lowest rank of mental pills started at Tier 7.

Realizing their potential uses brought a satisfied smile to Alec’s face, especially since his current mental stats were already high for his realm.

This way, he could begin cultivating his mental strength well before reaching the peak of the Tier 6 realm, eliminating the major bottleneck that most mages struggled with at that stage.

He also thought of his group; once he was strong enough to consistently hunt Tier 7 demonic beasts in the Beast Forest, he planned to share the pills with them.

This would allow them to begin their mental training early and solidify their foundations long before hitting the Tier 6 peak.

He chuckled at the thought of the Gordon Clan’s Tier 6 mages, many of whom had long abandoned the idea of ever advancing to Tier 7 receiving the mental pills, he just knew they were in for a surprising wake-up call.

Suddenly, the image of his master flashed through his mind, stirring a new thought.

“Could this help him recover?” Alec mumbled to himself in the quiet of the amulet world.
