The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL]
Chapter 50: Filling Plot Holes?

Chapter 50: Filling Plot Holes?

Everything was falling into place.

Immortal bloodlines, this was the missing piece Xu Feng needed in this mess.

This was the second and most likely the most important reason Lady Xuan willingly married her only son to some village ger.

It didn’t make sense for Xuan Yang to agree to marry Xu Feng just because he was more masculine looking than most gers. The young master was clearly very stubborn and Lady Xuan was a woman from high society—she would only want the best for her son.

Xu Feng was the best in status, but in bloodline he was pretty good for the Xuan’s to agree to this fake marriage. Even Xuan Yang begrudgingly agreed.

Know knowing Xuan Yang, Xu Feng understood that a child was probably the last thing on his mind. The Xuans must have something over the love sick pervert to make him agree to the union between them.

Whatever the reason, what mattered was they were married now. And Xu Feng wasn’t the original Xu Zeng, maybe the nice village ger who hadn’t experienced life would have fallen for the Xuan’s trap.

But Xu Feng had watched and read several lifetimes worth of movies and novels. It wasn’t the same thing as experiencing life first hand, but he was much less naïve than the original owner of this body.

There was no way they would be keeping Xu Feng under their finger. If Xuan Yang weren’t in love with Xuan Jian, Xu Feng wouldn’t even consider staying with someone who didn’t love him.

Once he had an egg...

Xu Feng shivered at the thought.

...he wouldn’t stay where he wasn’t wanted.

He was a child of the 21st century, true love was an option, so he would go with it. If he could find true love in Donghua, he would count himself lucky.

If true love wasn’t in the stars for him, he would at least become rich enough that he can live his life happily on his own in the mountains of Nanshan.

This new world had immortal bloodlines, mythical beast-like creatures, and plants that resembled spirit plants or at least mutant plants. There was no way he would be bored spending a lifetime here.

At the very least, he could watch Si, San, and Erlang find their partners and grow their families.

But...he did inherit this slutty body.

He would have to find a way to control his needs after his divorce. He needed to buy some books on the immortal bloodlines and anything else about Donghua he could find.

Until the divorce though, he would need to make full use of his dear "husband."

Xu Feng peered over at the man beside him, Xuan Yang.

He had long, black hair tied in a neat top knot and deep, dark eyes that held an air of mystery. Xuan Yang was tall and strikingly handsome—a typically charming face that now seemed as cold as ice. His face at this moment could easily make even an iceberg seem warm in comparison.

Since they entered the Flowering Courtyard, Xuan Yang’s demeanor had been chilly, but now, it felt even colder. It was as though an arctic storm had settled upon them casting a shadow of unease over Xu Feng.

The others present either seemed unaware, or they were good at pretending they didn’t feel the cold daggers aimed at their chests.

Xu Feng new understanding of his bloodline also added to his awe of the man at his side. Of all the people present in the reception room, Xuan Yang, and Xuan Jian had the strongest bloodlines. When he concentrated, he could feel the difference in the two men.

He couldn’t quite put into words what was different, but something was "more" about them. They felt like his "people," like they were almost the same kind.

Xu Feng then looked over at the elder of the Xuan family, his husband’s grandfather Xuan Muchen. The man had a refined look. He looked the most like Xuan Yang with a height closer to 6’0" and a strong intimidating aura to him.

The current patriarch wasn’t as tall as Xu Feng, the immortal bloodline was either thin or nonexistent in him. Xuan Muchen on the other hand had the same feeling as his grandson, but to a lesser extent. He had around 1/10 of the same feeling or energy the two young men had.

Xu Feng had no way to test his theory at the moment, but Xuan Muchen probably couldn’t feel how strong Xuan Jian’s bloodline was. If he did, they wouldn’t leave him as a servant of the family. They should have added him to the family bloodline directly.

Xu Feng smiled slightly as he started creating dramas in his head again.

Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang weren’t Alphas, but they kind of were, and as a ger he also should be a "dominant" omega with his immortal bloodline. If he wasn’t precious, he wouldn’t be propositioned to have a child with Xuan Yang.

The man was very attractive.

From his raven hair, to his deep dark eyes, all coupled with his standard "main lead" level face, he was a sight for sore eyes. He was a kind looking scholarly character who became aloof after some major plot point, but the new detached looks would still make women’s knees weak.

Xu Feng could tell after only a handful of encounters that he wasn’t naturally a cold faced eye candy. If he had been raised in a normal household without immortal bloodline or the expectations of a large frigid family, Xuan Yang would have lived a better life.

It was the iceberg who seemed to have a more naturally cold personality, but whenever they were alone, Xuan Jian was quicker to warm up than the Xuan young master.

*Sigh

Xu Feng couldn’t but sigh out loud, forgetting the current setting.

Lady Xuan’s eyes shot daggers at Xu Feng. Everything about the bumpkin ger was upsetting her. Instead of behaving respectfully and curry favor with her in front of the old witch, the ger was trying to look like a young lady and ride on her head!

As she narrowed her eyes, the daggers from those eyes were weaponized into words, "Are we boring the new young mistress?"
